Po-Boy & Bar-B-Q

I've eaten here a few times and it seems like the meat has been different each time. Not sure what the reason is, but there have been a few times where the meat felt a little bit dry. The pork is usually pretty good though. I like it better than the chain place Famous Daves, which is pretty much the only competition in the area. more

I have been eating here for years and the food has always been good enough to bring me back. Recently I paid another visit and the food was outstanding! It all seemed to be so much better than I remember, so I inquired. Come to find out, the previous owner sold it to his daughter and son-in-law and they had made a few improvements. I had the brisket without sauce and it was so tender and full of smoke flavor I couldn't believe it. Apparently they had a few tricks up their sleeve when it comes to cooking. I am also pleased to announce that they are FINALLY offering great homemade cornbread and beer, something a BBQ should never be without. This restaurant went from a B rating to an A++ almost overnight and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Every time I walk in here, the aromas make my mouth water!\r \r Recently we hosted a wedding rehearsal dinner at our home. As it was to be a casual affair, we decided on casual fare for dinner. We ordered 20 lbs of BBQ (brisket, pulled pork, and shredded chicken) the Tuesday before the dinner, and it was ready as promised at 3:00 PM that Friday. The staff were very helpful loading it into the car, and offering suggestion for heating, warming, and serving.\r \r It was fabulous: great smoky flavor on in all the meats, with a good combination of spice with a hint of sweetness. With all the trimmings we fed about 55 people. Our friends and family are still raving about this.\r \r I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Po Boys for any party or gathering. Great stuff. The beef ribs have been tough both times I've eaten here thogh the pork and chicken wasent bad. All and all it's barbecue you could probably do yourself, but hey, now you dont have to. more

The people who work there are always talkative and nice you can see them bring the meat in from outside on the barbq and i like it Pros: food , service more

This BBQ joint needs a lesson in Pit BBQ. Although I am picky coming from Texas and excellent Pit Style BBQ this is not it. The Ribs though tough were so smothered with generic BBQ sauce what little of the pork Ribs I could taste was over somke flavored and very tough. They offer very little in combination meals. I only had the Pork Ribs and will not return to try other menu items. The Chocolate Cake was very good everything else reminded of a bad company picnic. I have driven past the establishment on numerous occasions and should have taken the hint when there were never any cars in the parking lot. Pros: Chocolate Cake Cons: Bad Food, Poor Selection more
