The director here has no clue about how to manage people. Giving any sort of notice when leaving could very well cost you. Staff favoritism is rampant, complete lack of respect for employees is commonplace, and turnover is something out of the McDonalds handbook. The children are just a means to filling coffers. Its a shame, there are things they do right, but the director has managed to ruin the center. Recently she lost a number of really good employees because they simply could not handle the environment, lack of pay, and shoddy leadership. The heavy encouragement of sick teachers to work with the sick kids who are not encouraged to stay home when they are contagious makes for a wonderful sick farm.
If you work here be careful giving your notice to quit. Its known that giving a good notice near your forced (and earned) vacations could cost you that vacation time. Another over site of the director. They foster a hostile environment. It only costs the courteous employee instead of rewarding their loyalty with appreciation.
