Winslow Way Cafe

Coming off of the Ferry after 9pm, my husband & I were worried we wouldn't find a place to eat, especially after walking around & seeing most everything closed. But at the Winslow Way Cafe the bartender, chef & waiter were truly friendly in inviting us & 2 other roaming couples in for even just the limited menu of pizzas or salads. In our own little intimate corner, we happily sat down amidst red walls & jazz instrumentals on cd. The pizza was tasty and the service was great! more

I've been here many times throughout the past 10 years, and although some people SWEAR by it, I'm always disappointed with the cuisine and the service. The bistro-vibe is classy enough to call it fine dining, but the highschool service was of no help in choosing a wine, or getting to our table on time! Food was unremarkable and uninventive. Stick to the bar scene after hours to see a little of Bainbridge unwind over martinis and gossip. more

My fiance and I took a day trip to see the sights of Bainbridge Island, and got hungry on our way to the ferry trip back. We saw this place and decided to stop in. It looked nice enough, and the ambience was what we wanted. That is until we were seated. We were then brought water and promptly forgotten in the corner. A group of 3 was then seated near us. The server walked up to them, by us. But instead of stopping by to ask us if we were ready, her head went down and she rushed passed us. She then went back to the other table and chatted with them more, took their order, and ran by us again. We were looking right at her, and had open menus, but got no response. After being ignored a third time, we walked out. We will not be returning. more
