1/15/14 We visited the Auburn, WA Nielsen Bros. showroom to look at both carpet & hardwood flooring in November, 2013. We placed an order for both products....then I started reading the reviews. We decided to cancel our order as we read many poor reviews & didn't want to waste our $$$. I called the Auburn store to cancel. They were very surprised we would want to cancel & did everything they could to assure us we would be happy. I received an email w/ the product guarantee as well as the managers guarantee that we would be forever happy w/ our choices. At that point we went ahead w/ the project. WHAT A GREAT JOB!!!! The first man did the hardwood....he was always pleasant, hardworking, & accommodating even after 13hrs. of non-stop work. The quality of his install is unsurpassed....beautiful job. We LOVE the new wood as well as the installation quality. The carpeting was a few weeks later. They cheerfully moved the larger items we couldn't place anywhere & installed the carpet we selected. That too was very well done & quick, considering the amount of carpet & number of rooms we did. They did a great job pre & post new carpet including cleaning up. They also wore shoe covers & did not scratch any of the new hardwood. I would definitely recommend you use this company. Wonderful workmanship & products. more

My husband and I were in the process of getting our new house ready to live in while getting our previous house ready to rent. We have had nightmares with previous contractors not showing up, disappearing half way through the job or doing poor quality work. The professionalism of the estimators and installers made our live much easier as they were on time and completed work when promised. We needed hardwoods finished in our new home and carpet laid in the other. We received bids from several refinishers and carpet layers and settled on Nielsen Bros as their estimators were on time, were thorough in their measuring and were able to accommodate requests to preserve floor molding in our historical home. We were very pleased with the attention to detail and quality of the installation of the carpet in our rental house. The carpet was very reasonably priced and has stood up great so far to the traffic of 4 college students. The quality of the finish work on our hardwood floors was exceptional. We have a wrought iron banister and railing going up our stairs and around the upper landing with supports attached to the floor a few inches apart. Other estimators required us to remove the banister and railing to be able to finish the floor, Nielsen Brothers refinisher was able to sand and finish around the supports without removal. They accommodated our request for a 3 coat Swedish finish that looks beautiful and is still standing up to the traffic of our large dogs. more

I purchased Karastan carpeting and rugs as well as padding from Neilsen brothers in November of 2013. All was going well until I had a problem when the rugs I purchased were delivered and the pads for the rugs I purchased were not cut to size. I called about the issue and was told to get out scissors and cut them myself. When I called to complain further I was finally told they would pick up the rugs and pads and cut them correctly. I waited a week and began calling to see when they would be completed and redelivered. It took 3 days to get a return call, finally I was told they would be delivered! I took off work for the morning to be available at 10:00 am scheduled delivery. At 10:25a I called and was told it would be another 30 minutes. When the driver showed up, he could not carry the rugs alone, SO I WAS EXPECTED TO HELP UNLOAD THE TRUCK (all 6 of them )!!! 30 minutes later I was sweating and covered with carpet! I arrived at my work 2 hours later than scheduled! more

We can't say enough about the beautiful hardwood floors we just had installed through Neilson Brother's. We installed custom finish white-oak wood floors over two levels of our home (including two staircases) with the issue of matching our existing floors. Their work was impeccable, and the entire staff was a pleasure to deal with throughout the project. We have a whole new appreciation for the amount of effort that went into the project.... and are thrilled with the results! more

Mike Neilsen in Bellevue was patient with us as we checked out countless styles and colors. We decided on a color and style and already had a few bids. Mike asked to measure and submit a bid. Neilsen Brothers won the job. Mike Stumpf worked daily with the mill in Georgia to deliver the carpet in time. The installers were fast, friendly, professional. They completed the job in time and helped move all furniture in and out. I would recommend them to all. more

My husband Scott and I would like you to know how much we love our new carpet! We purchased Mohawk SmartStrand Ultra BCF Triexta in the Lichen Color. It's very soft under bare feet and looks fabulous. We also purchased the best pad to go underneath. The result is Beautiful carpet that feels Great!! It was installed on 5/11/2012 in 4 rooms plus stairs. Our Installers Gus and his Brother Francisco were wonderful!! They were very professional and it was quite clear that they knew Exactly what they were doing. They worked fast and efficiently and really paid attention to all the details and made the whole house look beautiful! After 2 previous bad experiences with flooring companies my husband and I will ONLY Use Gus And Francisco for any future flooring intallations. It doesn't matter what you've been promised as a customer by whoever etc.; The bottom line is how the installers do their job. I was very impressed with the entire process. Everyone at the store was extremely knowledgeable and professional. They were very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. The carpet installer was also great. He arrived on time and exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Nielsen Brothers more

We had Gus and Fernando out yesterday to install our new carpets. These guys were the most professional and hardest working we could have hoped for. I would have replaced our 15 year old carpets years ago but for the perceived stress and hassle it would be. Not the case. They had the piano in the kitchen and moved the huge TV by only unplugging the cable and power to the wall. That was it! The carpet looks great, the sales guys were great and the installers were great. I can't wait for the mill to finish the last batch of carpet so we can finish the upstairs. We are repeat customers and will NEVER look at the big box stores in the future. We'll be back to NB Floors next time! Thanks again! more

The contractor from Nielson Brothers Flooring who did the flooring was very good. He was professional and did a great job. I really liked how it was handled. Everything looks beautifully done; it looks like a piece of art! Nielson Brothers Flooring put in bamboo flooring for all the rooms in my house. Nielson Brothers Flooring is very fair, and they really listened. I felt like the woman who helped make the measurements was fantastic. Every time I went into the store, I was treated with respect even when I had questions. I liked their professionalism. Before the installment, Nielson Brothers Flooring told me that the workers they hired are quality people. Paul was a really good worker with good energy. The job was well done and very professional. We ran across unexpected problems but I liked the way they dealt with them. Because the building settling on the bottom floor (I live in a condominium), the floor was uneven which wasn't detected. It cost more but I'm glad Nielson Brothers Flooring caught it. They really know what they're doing and are knowledgeable. I feel like I could really trust them. Nielson Brothers Flooring has been a family-owned business since the 1940's and it's still going! I think one of the workers I met with was the daughter of the original owner.
