Great Experience Always 10/9/2009

I have been going to the Aurora Antique Pavillion for many years with children, friends and family. Always enjoy the treasures we find. Children from ages 1 to 8 I take there on field trips group sizes 3 to 5. The children and I have not had any issues with staff or other services available restroom(s). Sure sometimes some staff member(s) follow us around with an eagle eye but never any words from them. We all just continue on our journey. We always have a great time exploring the floor like a story book experience. I would recommend if you do go with children that store and your rules are clear on touching, running and vocals. Many items are as FRAGILE as a flower. WONDERFUL PLACE TO FIND ITEMS!!!! We will be back soon! Pros: Wide Variety of Items Cons: climbing and going down the stairs more

I imagine these people deal with many ""grabby children"" who break things. I remember this store from my childhood and I'm pretty sure I was told to not touch things. It's not a place to play, it's an ANTIQUE store and hardly the place to bring children. Valuable Items are on display and the reality of the situation is, those items are rare or they wouldn't be there. I'm sure your a fine parent, but being a nanny in the past, I know kids don't always listen. I am definately going to continue shopping there andI hope others do the same... with out their children in tow. Pros: Selection Cons: It's like a maze in there! more

My children really not welcome... 9/19/2008

This was a favorite place for us-my kids loved to buy stuff from the 1980's and 1990's which this mall has a lot of. I happened to bring my kids in one day when the staff on duty was unfamiliar to us, and they did not know that we DO spend money and DON'T damage or break anything. I thought they would relax after we have been there an hour ( we were the only people in the whole place) and of course my kids had not damaged anything. My doughter had picked out the items she wanted to buy and my son was still deciding...But staff kept following us around and staring and scowling at me and my kids until I finally asked them about it and they said something about my children not complying with their policies and questioned my parenting. We won't be back. I really wish I had not spent over $250.00 dollars at this place in the last few months. I will not be able to enjoy those things I purchased there know. more
