I took a family heirloom to be repaired at Akamatsu. After refusing to quote me a price and taking a week longer than I was originally promised, they all but ruined my grandmother's ring I've worn for a decade: the welding was horrible, they had cut out half the detail, and hadn't reingraved it as asked. I immediately started to cry and tried to explain why I wasn't satisfied. I asked for a partial refund. They were so condescending! I stood my ground and finally they threw half of what I had paid in my face, literally swearing at me to get out of the store. As I left, still sobbing, they called out after me, ""and don't ever come back!"" I have never been treated so poorly at a professional establishment in my life.
