I recently purchased a refrigerator, built-in oven, and built-in microwave from McNairs. I had shopped at Best Buy, Lowes, and Home Depot but needed more personalized service in choosing matching stainless steel appliances that would replace and fit into the space occupied by 15 year old appliances. The salesman I worked with, John C., recommended KitchenAid and everything matched, was in the clean stainless style I was looking for and fit the somewhat hard to find size requirements for my kitchen. Their prices were competitive and in one case lower than the other stores I shopped. However, what really motivated me to write a review was a problem I encountered that was well-handled by this store. It took me a few days to realize that the refrigerator I received was not the one I had ordered and paid for. There was a difference in the water dispenser and the serial #. I called the store and they acknowledged and accepted the problem. They re-ordered the correct refrigerator and gave me a date for it's arrival. The day before the date they had given me John called me to set up delivery and it was delivered as scheduled. I didn't have to call several times and complain and argue and worry about this problem. I hope they continue to handle customer problems with this type of professionalism. Good, attentive customer service will set them apart from their larger competitors.
Pros: Personalized service completed by phone...never drove to the store.
Cons: Chose appliances through pictures from other sites on internet, not their website.
