James Avery USED to be a lovely store and experience. They had simple, beautiful handcrafted jewelry, nice ladies who went out of their way to serve you, and a family-business feel. Well not anymore! Now they operate like every other corporate business—impersonal, unfriendly and needlessly by-the-book in everything they do, while still managing to feel old-fashioned (in a bad way). The managers—especially at this location—are horrendous, insincere and unresponsive to customers' needs if they don't fit into the scripted rule book they operate by. I waited in line for 30 minutes while the manager told her life story to one customer, ignoring a line to the door, only to be told with sickly sweet rigidity, that there was ""no way"" I could get my ring engraved in time for my anniversary, that it was their “policy.” I felt like I was buying jewelry outsourced from another country. It really is a shame. I have been a loyal customer here since I was a kid, but I will not be shopping here anymore.
Pros: Nice jewelry, some nice sales people
Cons: Horrible managers
