Best

I travel up to Austin and really, this is exceptional Thai food. Love the vermicelli bowls, pad thai and the desert with the tapioca-always good. Pros: Consistently good!

Excellent Thai Food. Really, really tasty! 11/23/2009

Thai Spice is simply the best Thai food I have had in Austin. I am tempted to rate it better that Chan Dara (La Brea Ave.) and Tommy Tang's (Melrose Ave.) in Los Angeles, too. Pros: Fantastic hot curry dishes. Cons: None yet identified. more

Awful! 1/13/2008

Simply awful. Just because the last reviewer is impressed with a buffet at a cheap price does not mean the food is good. The food is not good. The wait staff could not even be bothered to clear any table in the place except one in the corridor of the buffet. The entire experience sucked. We won't be back. Cons: Everything more

dang! 12/10/2002

This place is awesome. I'd like to devote one sentence to assuring you that I don't work for, or own, Thai Spice Cafe (haven't you ever wondered who writes these?). I've only been once, for what it's worth, but I'll go back. The Pad Thai was probably the best I've had, and I used to live in LA, where there's a Thai restaurant every 10 - 12 yards. It wasn't spicy at all, but the shrimp and chicken outnumbered the noodles. And it was GOOD shrimp and chicken, not popcorn freezies or crappy spare parts. Nice portion, too. Thing is it's $9. But you get what you pay for. And when you pay for Thai Spice Cafe, you also get a good atmosphere and fast, friendly service. Pros: Menu-to-table in 5min, Nice atmosphere, Great food more
