We arrived on a sat eve. in February. Restaurant was not crowded and we were seated immediately. Server was not friendly and seemed annoyed that we had an 8 yr old and a 10 yr old with us. My husband ordered a grilled salmon sandwich off the menu. It was supposed to be grilled with bacon, avacado, let, and tomato. My husband asked for side of mayo and raw onion and no bacon. My daughter ordered the child's pasta with light marinara. 1 hour-yes, 1 hour later the food came out. My husband got no avacado, no bacon, no onion, no mayo side and an ice cold sandwich. My 10 year old got buttered pasta with a side dish of marinara to toss her own pasta. The waitress never came back to the table to apologize for the delay or to see if our food was okay. We finally got the bus girl to ask the waitress for our check and she did and ""alright arm pull'. What a strange place. It was unfortunate that the waitress was so unattentive. We are business owners and being heavily involved in the restaurant industry, we are very good tippers and are pretty easy to please. This was a horrible dining experience with much too long a wait for medicore food and poor service. Being frequent travelers to Newport, we will be sure to steer clear of this spot and leave it home to ""where the locals go"".
Pros: warm and inviting decor
Cons: poor service, mediocre food
