Worst

While I respect the Veterinarians themslves at this practice, their staff is horrendous. Loudmouth receptionists that don't know anything about animals and don't handle any animal...

Awesome Place 12/18/2008

i have been coming here for years and love the place. recently they did go through quite a few receptionists and as a business owner myself i understand that sometimes employees look better on paper than they actually preform. To those of you who did not like the past receptionists i would recommend going back because now all the staff there is wonderful, knowledgeable and very helpful. I also would not judge a book by its cover. although you may think purple eye make up is too much, others may think it is nice and just because someone wears different make up does not mean she doen't know how to do an excellent job!\r I find the prices to be average compared to all of the other places in montgomery county but the services are exceptional and i recommend this place to all of my friends and family. Both doctors do take the time to call me back when i have questions. even when times are hectic, at the end of the night i have always recieved an update or notification of whats going more

Great vets but does have receptionist issues 11/8/2008

My parents have been taking their dog to the office for a few years and really likes the vets. After I moved to the area, I started taking my dog there also. I found the vets and the techs to be wonderful. And they care for your dog as they would there own. But I and my parents also did run into receptionist issues. Only one receptionist in particular who can be very sarcastic loud and rude. The first time I came in with my dog I had also brought my cat's records along so they could put him in the system also, this way I could get reminders when he is due for his shots. She had very curtly told me that she wouldn't take them because alot of people don't come back and it's a waste of time. She would only put them in when I brought the cat in. Now I need to guess when he's due for what shots. I have also had issues picking up prescriptions. If she can't find them there is always a lot of sighing and eyerolling. It's a shame because I'm sure there are plenty of capable friendly people who more

It's a great animal hospital 6/10/2008

The "Time Well Wasted" review is completely messed up. There are no pregnant employees at Skippack Animal Hospital, for all the times that I have been there, and the receptionist is nice and does know about animals. It is good that they clean up the urine, though, because I have been to other animal hospitals where they just let it sit there. \r I was educated about pet insurance at this animal hospital when our dog was a puppy, and years later when our pet had a $2000 surgery, it was paid for by the insurance company. \r The vets that work there are great with my family's pets, and the bill is just about as much money as what I would expect. We surveyed the prices in other animal hospitals to make sure that we were not paying too much money and we found that the Skippack Animal Hospital's prices are average compared to other pet hospitals in the area. Time well Wasted!!! 5/22/2008

While I respect the Veterinarians themslves at this practice, their staff is horrendous. Loudmouth receptionists that don't know anything about animals and don't handle any animals(why do you work there?), bright purple eye makeup that is unprofessional looking and also extremly tacky, and allowing a very pregnant employee to clean up dog urine in the front waiting room and weigh dogs on the scale was not only unprofessional, but also extremely ignorant. (That poor woman!)\r \r I found the doctor that I saw, Doctor Brandon, to be wonderful, but she seemed to be manning the operation by herself and had about 4 clients there in the time of my appointment, which left her little time to answer my questions. Instead, I could only ask the receptionist, who gave me an answer without even asking the Doctor. As far as I know, this receptionist is NOT a vet, and I do not feel that she should be freely answering questions about things that she does not have a degree in. As I paid a bill of over $40 more

Good care for your pet but pricey. 3/26/2008

Our Labrador retriever has been under the care of Skippack Animal Hospital since we got him as a puppy 8 years ago. They have consistently taken very good care of him. The office is friendly, clean and accommodating. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that I do sometimes feel like they try and sell you more products than are actually necessary, which really adds to the cost of pet care with them. more
