Where do I start? My son has been attending the Punkin Patch for 18 months now. When he started, with the exception of never cleaning the kids face.
Since then things have gotten progressively worse. I have showed up several times to find up to 12 kids in the room with one teacher and the kids are out of control. My boy is always getting shoved around and comes home with bruises and scratches almost every day.
The kids are sent to the restroom unsupervised. This is bad for many reasons. My main concern is that the restroom is right next to the main entrance and the kids could walk right out without anyone seeing them. Never mind the possibility of them walking out with someone, being snatched, or letting the wrong person in.
Speaking of front entrance, since the main office is around the corner, the entrance is never supervised. All it takes is for someone to be friendly and hold the door open for the wrong person and they are on to do god knows what.
Oh, and the restroom does not have hot water either. Cold only. No wonder my son is always getting sick...
Back to the staff. It seems as though they do not care for the kids at all. They are always standing around gossiping or doing other things and all but ignoring the kids. Seriously, how much effort does it take to wash a kid's face. Every day my boy has stuff all over his face and sometimes even stuff from lunch.
All this for $130/week is not worth it. Pay a little extra and go somewhere else. Or find someone who does home care and will actually care about your kid. (which is what we just did) He starts in two more days. I cannot wait!
Pros: Good meals
Cons: Horrible Care
