Avoid this unreputable business. I have used Cee Jay's Mechanical dba Heating Cooling Outlet a few times at several different properties over the years. This past summer, I had them come out to my property to investigate why my furnace was leaking condensate when the A/C was running. The tech told me the pan had rusted through and it would cost upwards of $2,000 to replace the coils and pan which was the only way to stop the leak. While he was here, he also checked and recharged my coolant lines without me asking. I asked for a written estimate on the repair and never heard back. Shortly thereafter, a tech from another HVAC company was over for an unrelated issue and I happened to mention the leaking furnace. He commented that the furnace should have a plastic pan, not metal. He opened up the back (something the first tech never did) and immediately discovered the pan and drain were clogged with sediment and had it cleared and draining freely within a few minutes. I called Heating Cooling Outlet to complain, explained what happened, and simply asked that they provide me with a free service call since they had clearly not done their job during the first service call. She promised to look into it and get back to me but never did. I called a second and third time over the next couple weeks and each time was promised a return call that I never received. On the fourth call, the gentleman I spoke with claimed that they were called out for a non-working A/C and that since they had repaired the A/C they had done what they were called out to do. This was completely untrue. I went back and looked at the paperwork and sure enough, it said the service call was for ""No A/C"". This was not what I reported on the initial call (the A/C was working fine, it was just leaking condensate from the furnace) and it was not what I told the tech when he arrived. Nonetheless, he claimed that they had done what I called them out to do and refused to refund my money for the service call or to provide me with a complimentary service call. While investigating this issue, I also discovered that they have gone out of business at least once in the past few years and reincorporated under a different name while continuing to do business as usual, presumably to shirk liability under the former company. There are plenty of HVAC companies out there. Find a reputable one and stay away from Cee Jay's Mechanical/Heating Cooling Outlet/Heating Cooling Service.
