The staff is extremely dedicated to each and every child which includes the child's family in their everyday school activities. This is NOT an elite school for the rich and famous. We have been at Raynor for 4 school years, since our son came out of a small school in NYC in second grade. He was immediately engaged by the warm, experienced teachers and the work, as well the by the other children welcoming him as a newcomer. He has learned so much so quickly in such a rich learning and healthy social environment. Specifically we appreciate the quality teaching- foreign languages starting in third grade, as well reading music and playing an instrument, advanced math and kid friendly physics as a special program. They also have special attention for children that learn in different ways, finding that area to help that child excell as well. Our son's self esteem has grown and we are so proud of his achievements which of course are directly related to the care, nurturing, education and enthusiasm that the amazing teachers, staff and family community at Raynor Country Day School provide. Pros: Quality of care, education, and environment. Cons: Wish the program went through high school. more

We moved out of the city after 911 and have been extremely happy with the education our son has received. He has excelled beyond our expectation. The foreign language, character education and field trips are highly educational. Music, art and sports - soccer, basketball, baseball, are add-ons that round out his experience. We are very happy with our choice and the dedication of the pricipal and the teachers. Pros: Field trips are enlightening, for the kids as well as the parents Cons: A more nutritional lunch service could be improved on more

Kudos to the teachers who made it possible for my child to flourish in so many areas of his life. Those experiences will remain with him for the rest of his life. more
