Ahh the Michelle Pizza.... 12/30/2008

...its fresh herbed ricotta with arugula with the thinnest tastiest crust. Simply delicious. The menu does not vary too much I would agree, but everything is always fresh and wonderful in a lovely cozy atmosphere. I have been coming for years and the staff is always friendly and attentive. Pros: Fresh delicious italian food more

Nothing inentive, but superb quality 4/22/2008

I have been to this reliable restaurant several times and have not been disappointed. While, I do believe the menu offerings are not very creative, the guality is excellent. The ingredients are fresh and it shows in the finished product. Tthe service is also attentive and the decor is lovely. Pros: Excellent flavor/quality Cons: not creative more

Awful service, boring boring boring food 12/30/2007

We went here on Christmas Eve with friends. What a mistake. Granted, the place was busy, so you might forgive a bit slower service. But this place was completely unprepared for the crowds. How does an Italian restaurant RUN OUT OF BREAD?? Food was cold, bland. My friend did not receive her appetizer with everyone else, so the restaurant tried to ""fix it"" - by bringing her appetizer FOUR seperate times by four different people throughout the course the meal.... What a disappointing experience. Pros: Hmmm... can't think of any Cons: Food is boring and bland, service was terrible. more

MICHELIN and ZAGAT -----RIGHT THIS TIME 2/1/2007

Had an 8 o'clock res. We waited 10 min. on Sat. night. The staff was attentive and assured us the wait would not be long. We were agroup of 4 who like to eat so we tried a lot of different dishes. The food was great ----shared pizza(amazing),Red cabage salad with Gorgonzola and bacon, Tuscan style Baby backed ribs all great ----. One of the few restaurants listed by Michelin Guide in Brooklyn. They were right. Pros: Food and cozy atmosphere more

I had gone with my wife and enjoyed it so much we went back to celebrate a birthday wiyh friends. We were a group of 6 and we all loved the restaurant. Best food we've had in brooklyn. WE loved the grilled pizza, tuna, brine cured pork chop and baked pastas. The chef owner made us feel very welcome. We'll be back. Pros: food ,ambiance Cons: busy more

forgetaboutit!! 8/2/2006

I've eaten there about 10 times over the past 4 years, sorry I went there last night. The last 2 times were not ""up-to-par"" so I tired one(last) more time. The appEtizers took 30 minutes and with 4 people they were not served all together. It's not the staffs fault(only 2 waiters). The bruschetta was on untoasted bread with only chopped tomatoes (no seasonings) and some cheese. The tuna was over cooked and the potatoes burnt. Was really disappointed with the service and we left without dessert(something we never do). I have had my last meal at tuscany, thanks for the past great meals , but for now on ""FORGETABOUTIT!!!' more

Better place to have Italian 7/19/2006

Heard a lot about it so I went with my wife. It was a very charming and cozy place. Beyond that, I would rather go to Elia around the neighborhood. If you like Lupa, Babbo, Il Mulino, or Scalini Fedeli, you will be disappointed badly. Mark my words. more

Heart of Tuscany in the Heart of Bay Ridge! 7/29/2005

If you are in the mood for quality Tuscan food this is your place. Creative and authentic, Tuscan dishes are prepared to perfection. Family owned, the beaming husband sees to it that his patrons are seated comfortably, while his wife meticulously oversees the cuisine and preparation of each and every meal - and from what I hear does most of all of it herself! This is a different type of Italian cuisine - hearty and bold - not to be missed. You can have your cake and eat it in Bay Ridge with Artistic Italian Areos, Traditional Family Style Chianti, and this wholesome Tuscan Heaven at Tuscany Grill. Buon Appetito! Pros: Food , Service, Cozy and Intimate more

Never had a chance to check it out 4/18/2005

We made a 7:30 reservation for a table of 8. When we arrived (7:30 sharp), the only table that could accommodate that many people was taken, with guests in the middle of their first course. After twenty minutes of waiting, the manager, without even apologizing, lied by saying that since we were late, he gave away our table. After 10 more minutes of waiting, we were called in to be seated, (another lie) because the table was not set up and there was no table to set up. After another 10-15 minutes and no table, we left. Cons: very noisy, crowded, tight entrance more

Areo's food...without the attitude! 12/17/2002

In BayRidge Areos is ""the place"" to go for Italian. However, it's not the place to go for a cozy, romantic, exquisite Italian meal - that would be Tuscany Grill. The food is amazing, the waitstaff pleasant, the ambiance divine...the wait can be awful. With hardly a bar to wait in, often times they'll tell you, ""no seats tonight"". If you go on a Monday - less crowded - you'll fall in love and remember to make reservations early for the following weekend. Pros: romantic, great wine, excellent service Cons: tough on weekends, some tables cramped more
