Cats Nail Salon

I've been going to this nail salon for 20+ years now, ever since Rosa and her husband opened up the store (when the salon was on a second floor a block away). I've cheated a few times when new places opened up near where I lived, but always went right back to Cats nail - sometimes to fix what the other people messed up. Rosa (the owner) is like a soup nazi, and she won't take your nonsense! Check your attitude at the door, because she won't take none of that, and neither will her faithful customers like me. On 10/26, I went in for a simple eyebrow and chin wax. It was painful and I mentioned so, but it was passed off as ""par for the course"" and dismissed. Within 30 minutes after, my face felt like it was on fire and my eyebrows and chin got dark red. It was then that I realized I had been burned. I went to my dermatologist, who confirmed that I had sustained burns. Fortunately, the burns were not considered permanent. The next day, I went to inform them of my injuries. The manager was nasty. The so-called esthetician tried to put Vaseline and then Neosporin on my face! After declining, I had to ask for a refund. Twice I was offered less than what I paid. Finally, after my insisting, I received the full amount I paid in refund, but no apology or amends were given. And, even though I maintained my composure and remained courteous and professional, I was brushed off and treated in a very unprofessional manner. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!
