For any of you that still like to go to eat in a place that feels like home, go to Joyce's Tavern. I was born and raised in Eltingville, and in fact, Joyce's was my dance studio back then. The people are great. I don't go there to drink. I bring my 75 year old mom there for the reubens and all of the rest of the good food. We may have a draft beer, but it's the quality of service, real people, that serve us. We always seem to have great conversations with the diners next to us. The quality and portion of food is great, as well as the prices. However, I would be willing to pay more if need be. We were just there today. My mom had fish and chips, and I had their potato soup which is to die for. I am giving a great rating, however, I hope that not too many others visit, because we like our special table and service.
Pros: good old family dining and bar
Cons: parking is difficult
