Dr Halperin is disrespectful to his patients. Loves to ask embarrassing questions while you are nude. Shares what he finds with his assistant using the latin names, Does not answer your questions and probably misdiagnosed my melanoma. He is an awful experience and should be avoided at all times. more

terrible dr. he miss diagnostic the problem, 2 weeks & $ 40.00 later no relief, he is arrogant, he only looks for cancer, because more money, but i think he cant diagnostic any thing, he doesn't know much about skin problems.. VERY UNRELIABLE !!!!! STAY AWAY FROM HIM more

Dr. Halperin is busy for a reason. He really is a great derm and sees every patient himself. To get the shortest wait time, make your appointment as early in the day as possible, but don't be surprised when you walk in at 8:45 am and see a waiting room full of people. I see Dr. Halperin for routine mole checks and Botox for hyperhidrosis. He actually turned me on to Botox which has changed my life. His staff is very helpful in getting this procedure approved by my insurance company. Pros: Helps get procedures approved by insurance Cons: long wait times, quickie appointments more

Hello, This was the worst doctor visit I have ever had. First of all, he made me wait a long time, which is annoying, but not horrible. I came in for a cancer screening and a small procedure. I was rushed through the visit in a few minutes. I asked him if it would hurt, he said no. I left in severe pain. To top it off, he billed my insurance company incorrectly and I had to out of pocket hundreds of dollars. I called up the office a dozen times to rebill my visit correctly, but they refused to listen to me, and the doctor never called me back. I wasn't going to pay because of the principal of the situation (their error), but I was afraid of it affecting my credit report. DO NOT GO TO SEE THIS DOCTOR!!! I've gone to him for years because he was so highly recommended by another top doctor. he's highly qualified -- and busy. So if you're looking for chit chat, talk to your hairdresser or manicurist or the sales clerk at Barneys. more

Dr. Halperin is a great dermatologist. Simple as that. I've had a skin biopsy done by him that left absolutely no scar whatsoever -- I can't even find the site now. (Had the same procedure done by other doctors over the years and the scars are very obvious) I can't disagree with other posters that he's not chatty but that doesn't bother me at all. Personally, I think he's just shy. But he's very sweet and very good at what he does. I have medical skin conditions and he knows his stuff. He's also removed age-related things and done small cosmetic skin ""repairs"" that are just flawless. If I want a charming schmoozer, I can get that from my hairdresser or at a cocktail party. I've been going to him for years and have not had any issues. I can always get an appt pretty quickly and wait times are are not long. He may not talk an awful lot but he always gives the info I need and if I ask him questions he does take the time to fully answer. Hmm. I have been seeing this dermatologist for years, and I am satisfied. I don't disagree with the other two posters that Dr. H. is not a talker. He certainly is not. Office staff was rather snooty, but the wait was very brief. Social skills of the derm were rather disappointing. Performed a full body scan for possible benign moles, etc, and pulled out my hairband rather harshly. Barely time to ask questions, felt like i was brushed off as a patient with prescriptions rather than practical advice or education about my skin. Disappointed, although written up to be the derm for models with a hip and stylish office. Doesn't live up to it.... Pros: cool office, hardly any wait time Cons: , no people skills, no time to educate pt more

May be a good doctor, but very brusque and makes it clear that he wants the visit over in 5 minutes or less. Don't doubt that he is competent, but doesn't really have any people skills. more
