Great breakfast restaurant 1/7/2010

This is a real treat for breakfast. As a diabetic I did not get to try the sweet goodies but was told over and over how wonderful they were. I did have omelets and they were great. The service was excellent and our dining experience for six was wonderful. Pros: Good food Cons: Bring an appetite more

Best Breakfast in Town! 6/24/2008

No wonder they win all the awards- James Beard, Zagat, Consumer Reports! Unheard of for a breakfast restaurant. So I had to try it, now I am hooked! The German Pancake is to DIE for and so is the bacon. Everyone else says they fresh sqeeze the OJ, but OPH really does! It's full of pulp and delicious. I am done with the rest! Pros: Delicious food, great service Cons: Have to wait in line more

Smaller Pancakes but price goes up 3/30/2008

I use to love going to the OPH, not so any more. I order always the Bacon Lovers. This last visit, I tried once again the Charleston & Decatur location. It is a very noisy location. We tried all the other locations and like them better for that reason, until yesterday. Pros: fairly pleasant Cons: very noisey more

Since when did ""HUGE"" become the best selling point? 6/29/2007

I've eaten at other OPHs, and it is a very good chain, I will definitely admit that (I love the Swedish pancakes). But since when did having HUGE food become the most desireable thing, more than good service and atmosphere? There enough fat Americans without getting excited about a place that insults you and makes you wait forever, just because you can get a huge serving of super-processed carbohydrates and fake maple syrup (yes, it's fake--maybe a touch of real stuff thrown in, but no way is this all real). Who really needs an omlet this big?? (A family of 4?) The terrible service far out-weighs the good here (even if you simply total up the weight of your meal), and i just can't recommend it. Try OPH someplace else, it's definitely worth it, but just NOT in Las Vegas. Pros: Delicious pancakes, esp Swedish & Apple Cons: Terrible service and super deathly high-fat menu. No kids--wait is too long. more

One of the most over rated places in Las Vegas. 12/22/2006

The maple syrup is not real! Who are we trying to kid here? the food is not as good as can be made at home and its way too over priced for what you get. The service at the GVR location is especially poor. Pros: food tasted ok. Cons: over priced and over rated! Best of Las Vegas doesnt mean much! more

Best Breakfast 11/20/2006

Best omlets anywhere. Wonderful pancakes. The omlets are bakes in the oven and wonderful. Try the pecan pancakes, they are delious. Pros: wonderful breakfast Cons: long lines on week-ends more

just average 9/8/2006

You have to wait in such a long line and it's hyped to be more then it really is. If your looking for a great breakfast try the omelette house on Charleston Pros: well it's edible Cons: it's just average tho more

German pancake fanatic 4/14/2006

It takes about 30 minutes to cook a German pancake. It's written in the menu. Anyone who is angry over the time it took to get their order obvious didn't read the notes. This is a favorite of mine so I know it takes a while. The Charleston site is slammed after 10:00AM. If you want faster service get there by 9:00AM. I've been there many times and will go back again. Pros: great food, good prices Cons: very popular, busy after 10:00 more

Worse OPH I have ever been to! 1/21/2006

Waited 40 minutes for apple pancake. Companion got her food within 20 minutes. I inquired about my pancake several times and was told it is coming. After an hour and 10 minutes waitress came over and said ""what did you order""? By then , friend was done eating and manager said we didn't owe anything. Well it certainly didn't favor me, if she got free food and I received NO FOOD and NO APOLOGY. Will NEVER go there again. Cons: BAD SERVICE, BAD MANAGEMENT more

User review by nwaterloo 7/31/2005

I really enjoyed eating here. Not only was the food reasonably priced, the portions were huge and tasted fantastic. You have to remember that the food is cooked to order and often baked so it takes a little longer then other places but it is really worth the wait. We even managed to catch a glimpse of Vegas celebrity when we went. Pros: Excellent Food, Great Portions, Friendly Service more

This place is a mess 2/24/2005

I have been to the OPH three times now and the service has been consistently AWFUL. I can't even begin to describe how inept the staff is, how slow the service is. What a mess. . .I cannot believe this place gets the ratings it does. Cons: Service more

Great Big Apple Pancakes 1/4/2004

Go for the apple pancake...I ate at another location in Willmette, IL this spring and I had to share the pancake find with my boyfriend. I would recommend sharing it--the pancake is that big and wonderful. Our waitress seemed very uninterested in service (maybe it was right after the morning rush?) but our quest for the best pancake made her inattention tolerable...There are several other locations in Las Vegas. Pros: Good food, Cheap more

SERVICE :( 2/9/2003

I went there and the service was really bad. The only one that smiled was the Hostess that had manners. We never even got a fork. I had to go on a scavenger hunt. Regardless, I was unhappy about that. Pros: Buckwheat Pancakes Cons: Lack of service more

Definitely worth it! 2/7/2003

I went to OPH because I saw it on this site. And thinking my husband would not like it I was a bit skeptical. But believe me it was worth every dime. We went on a mini Vegas vacation (Weekend) I wanted to go Sat. & Sun. morning my hubby wanted to go back!! I loved it, pancakes were delicious, omletes huge. And could not beat the price!! DEFINETLY RECOMMENDED! Pros: Great food, Inexpensive, Okay parking Cons: Long wait to be seate more

The Best!! 1/11/2003

Whenever we are in Vegas we go to the OHOP. The food is great, best pancakes and omelettes you can imagine anywhere. Portions are big, so we generally share. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Wish we had this restaurant available in Ohio. Pros: Inexpensive, Pleasant staff, Great food more
