Two weeks after spending a weekend with girlfriends in Avalon and dropping over $1,000 btw. the five of us, I returned to Avalon and Massage Etc. with family. As we arrived at the spa to schedule 4 appointments, Joan (the owner) greeted me like she had never seen me before, obviously she had forgotten about the $1,000 day the my girlfriends and I gave her two weeks prior. The very cold and unfriendly greeting puzzled me; however, we were directed to her "assistant" to schedule our massages. The poor "assistant" had no clue how to schedule appts. so we told him the time and treatments that we needed. He told us that Joan would call back to confirm the appts. later in the day. We missed the first call, and called on our own two more times with still no confirmation. The following day we called to tell Joan that because we didn't receive a confirmation, thus not getting babysitters, that we would not be coming in. She began yelling into the phone and said, " I am going to charge your credit card! You'll just have to fight it out with the credit card company!" I replied telling her that that would be illegal...... It was disheartening to hear her irrate rage come over the phone. This woman is CRAZY! Beware, whatever you do, don't give her your credit card number until the treatment is complete!
Anyway, sorry for the poor review, but I was so disappointed :(
