Crabtree's Finest Restaurant 10/11/2010

If you're in the mood for the best chinese restaurant experience of your life, drive to Crabtree Valley Mall and find PF Chang's on the top floor. The decor is ritzy Asian. The large bar can accomodate a large number of people and the restaurant is always packed with diners. You'd better call ahead unless you want to wait an hour, but for chinese food, there's no better place in Raleigh. The portions of the entrees is enormous and even the soups are oversized. If you've never been, you should definitely give it a try! Published by Kevin Coats Raleigh NC more

So far nothing special 8/5/2010

My relatives from out of town wanted to go to PF Changs (they said it was good in FL) but we went on a Saturday night at the Southpoint location in Durham NC, we were told the waiting time was over 2 hrs!! At first we were going to wait but decided instead to sit near the bar and order take out. That was a mistake as well. The staff rushed us into ordering and by the time we got the food, we still nearly waited 2hrs to get it! When we got home, the food was bland and not tasty at all. I ordered lamb and it was not cooked very well and such a small portion was given for the $$$. My expectations soured because I thought for the price it should've been much better. But I'll give it another try by going on a different evening other than a weekend and being seated as opposed to take out. more

really good food 7/6/2010

A nice place to get a different kind of Chinese food. The service is good. Pros: menu choice is large and food is tasty Cons: noisey and crowded more

P.F. Chang's Is the Best 3/20/2009

We visit P.F. Chang's where ever we go. Something special about this one at the Crabtree Mall in Raleigh. The food is fantastic as always, but the service and atmosphere is even more incredible. Great servers, but it must be the managers in the background. We eat there at least once or twice a month. We are glad to have picked Raleigh for our retirement home. We like the country living, but what a great city to live near. Pros: Food and Service more

Great food, prompt seating (with reservation), good prices 6/6/2008

We love the place. the food is great and the service is outstanding. It's loud, but it's a bistro-type so you would expect that. My only complaint is when my husband and I were celebrating our anniversary, the waitress put us at a table in the middle of two families. On one side were the loud kids and on the other table were the parents, who weren't tending to their children. The restaurant should have known better than to place in the middle like that. Other than that, we love the place. The pricing is good. Pros: Wonderful food Cons: Parking is a nightmare more

RE: Great Chinese Food 4/19/2008

I like the style of the restaurant although it can get packed! As for the menu they have so many dishes to try from, so I just can't get the samething, so what do I recommend? Well, I'm not too much of a meat eater, but their shrimp dishes with noodles, rice, or they have a very different singapore noodle that tastes much different than the regular chinese restaurants with some crumbles on top, which I can do without that, but the dish itself is good! Also, their crabmeats on the appetizer menu are very good made of real crabmeat. Their hot & sour soup is bar the best I've ever tasted! Pros: parking, to go service Cons: too crowded more

Just plain good! 9/23/2007

This place is just good. Tasty food, good service, great atmosphere. They also have a great system for take out if you want to enjoy the great food at home. I eat there as much as possible. Pros: food, service, atmosphere Cons: it's busy, so the wait can be long more

PF Changs 9/11/2007

Best place to work at, bar none. Management is great, down to the lower echelons of the ladder, including food preparers and kitchen staff. We ALL WORK HARD and strive for providing YOU, our GUEST, with the best service AND Chinese food you've ever had in your life! If the server asks if ""everything is ok"" one too many times, it has nothing to to do with the quality of the food, but an offering of some of the best, if not the best service you've ever had at any restaurant, Chinese or not! Btw, the servers and everyone else working there are all there just trying to make a living, while strictly ""following rules,"" so to speak, which means it is not their fault when they do things a certain way. more

Asian Fusion, but much better than Duck & Dumpling 5/18/2007

The food here is great. Everything I've ever had here has been fresh and tasty. The wait staff is very prompt and courtious as well as well versed on the menu. Parking here can be a hassle, unless you valet. I recommend the lettuce wraps as a starter. They are soooo good. Pros: Food and Ambience Cons: Parking more

a trendy, modern take on Asian cuisine 4/4/2007

P.F. Changs is probably one of my top 3 favorite places to dine in the Triangle. I can't get enough of the cool, dark atmosphere and the trendy decor. The staff is always kind and considerate, and service is generally pretty fast (depending on the time of day). Even the pickiest eater will find something on their extensive menu, ranging from traditional Asian fare to some items unique to the restaraunt. When I go there, I usually share a couple of entrees with whoever I'm with (the Orange Peel Chicken and Singapore Noodles are especially good) and opt for dessert (TO DIE FOR Banana-filled Spring Rolls). For a special evening or occasion, the menu also has a long list of mixed drinks and wines, so come thirsty, but drink responsibly! A perfect 10 in my book! Pros: Ambience, great food, wonderful service Cons: Sometimes can be very crowded on weekends more

Love this place! 2/26/2007

This place is so good! The food is wonderful & reasonable priced. The Lettuce Wraps are my favorite & the dipping sauce is wonderful! I also love the Mongolian Beef dish. The servers are always helpful & attentive. Ive never had to ask for a drink refill while dining here. The ambiance is very nice too. Pros: Reasonable Priced, Service, Excellent Food Cons: Long waits for table more

not so much.. 11/17/2006

Best food and service 11/11/2006

There's nothing like going out for a nice dinner on a saturday evening after a long day of shopping and not only having the ""best"" chinese food since I moved to Raleigh, but when the waiter is told you have a back problem and he brings you a seat from another chair to use for suppport, now THAT""s customer service! Not only did he make me comfortable, he was fun, and quick to make sure we had all we needed. The food is fresher than fresh and really filled our craving for good chinese! This doggie bag will SURELY get eaten tomorrow! Pros: relaxing atmosphere, terrific waiters, great food! Cons: longer waiting time, but worth it! make reservations! more

energetic bar scene 11/2/2006

Great food!!! Always crowded in the evenings, so give yourselves lots of time. The bar is usually hopping, but it's kind of small, so seats are limited. They've got the best mojito's I've ever had!!! Parking is pretty bad at the mall, so use the valet. Really worth it!!! Pros: Food is awesome!!!! Cons: Always crowded for dinner. Bar is too small. more

Highly Recommended 10/6/2006

This place is so YUMMY! Pros: This food is so good, service is always cordial, bus boys are really cute Cons: Mall location ~ should be a stand alone restaurant (location doesn't take away from quality of food, though) more

Best atmosphere and great food! (6 Bubbles) 7/27/2006

P.F. Chang's is a work of art all in itself. The aromas surround you as you enter the large doors. The service is always fantasic and prompt. I am addicted to the crispy chicken lettuce wraps and mongolian beef plate. The shrimp plate is also great. The sauces are prepared at your table by your friendly server. The bustle of people, the din of the room, are all exciting. A great place to go for special events or for any ocassion. Dine in or take out. P.F. Chang's is crowded with a normal wait time of one to one and a half hours so get in early to put in your name. I also heard you can call in your name before arriving. They do not accept reservations. But they should. Try it out! The Social Light Pros: Thumbs up Great food and service Cons: The crowds, parking and the wait time more

great food at a great price 7/4/2006

My wife and I usually stop by have a drink, and order to-go food..Service at the bar is always above par. Very friendly but not pushy..The food is one of the best values in the area.We always get too much but the check would convince otherwise...We'll be back Pros: Service, Bartenders, Value Cons: Haven't met a con yet more

Spicey scallops are the best in the area 6/14/2006

The Kung Pao Scallops are the best plate of scallops in the area and are reasonably priced ($14) when you think of how much scallops usually cost. The lemon scallops are good if you don't like spicy. The PF Chang's Spicy Chicken is very good as is the beef and broccoli. I tired the Orange Chicken and did not like it at all. My wife likes many of the seafood entrees on the menu. The lettuce wraps are very good. There are some cheaper lunch specials, but you have to look carefully at the menu to find them. The service has always been above average. The restaurant at Crabtree has better ambience than the one at Southpointe in Durham, but the food is identical at each place. Try Pei Wei at Brier Creek for PF Changs express dinners. Not quite as good as PF Changs, but worth the cheaper price. Pros: PF Chang's Spicy Chicken, Kung Pao Scallops Cons: Long Wait usually more

excellent 3/19/2006

Food, atmosphere, all is excellent. Try the wanton appitizers! This place is consistent and always awesome! Pros: atmosphere, food, price Cons: long wait more

my favorite place 2/18/2006

i love pf changs. every time i go the i get the same fantastic quality service and food. anything that i have had that has not been up to par has been immediately taken care with a new entree. i love the wine list and their cocktail menu, try the key lime pie martini. they do all their wines by the GLASS and the bottle!! as fas as all of you complaining about how long the wait is, why don't you do something about it? make a reservation. i have never had to wait more than 10 mins. so why dont all of you do plan a little more in advance and use this to your advantage. Pros: service, complimentary valet, reservations more
