My family has been going to Dos Amigos for years. We are huge fans of the bottomless chips and salsa that are served with every meal. The salsa is obviously homemade is and delicious, although some may find it a little spicy. Personally, I think it's perfect. However, they do offer a ""mild"" version on request at no extra charge.\r

Just about anything on the menu is delicious. My wife is not crazy about their refried beans, but I like them. We used to think that they tasted a little like KFC Original Recipe in their flavor, so much so, that we started referring to them as Kentucky Refried Beans, but it's been a while since we've made that comparison.\r

My favorite is the Burro de la Roqueta made with pork rather than chicken. My wife's favorite is the California Burrito, which is an enormous burrito stuffed with a lot of filling. Personally, I think that a lot of the filling consists of huge chunks of green bell pepper, but I don't mind since I like bell pepper.\r

As the restaurant has become more successful, they've seen fit to raise their menu prices accordingly. This is the one downfall I could find. Our family of 3 used to be able to easily eat there for under $20. Now, we expect to pay at least $30. The food is still good, and if one is frugal, it is still possible to get an excellent meal ""on the cheap,"" but we've noticed more price increases particularly in the last couple of years.\r

Overall, it is our favorite Mexican restaurant, and we've found few places elsewhere that rival their food's flavor.
