At Carmen and Carmen what I found is a staff that seems to actually enjoy their job. From the receptionist to the hair stylist and the hair colorist everyone seems to be happy. Which is very important to me. Very professional staff. Kristina cut my hair a couple of weeks ago and was such a pleasure. She took her time on my hair assuring me that she was able to give me exactly what I wanted. I was very pleased she did exactly what I told her to do. Now prior to going to Carmen and Carmen I tried a couple of salons in this area and was very disappointed. Since I was so pleased with my first experience I have now made an appt to have my hair colored. I am super excited.I can honestly say I feel confident in this salon. more

I have been a client of Randi's for over 6 years...she is an amazing hair color artist! She can do a full set of foils, wash, blow dry, and flat iron, and have you out the door in 90 minutes. I love getting my color done by her! I tried others, but ALWAYS come back because she is great! more

Each time I go to Carmen! Carmen! to have my hair cut and colored, it is a wonderful experience. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. The location is convenient to my job, so it's easy to go after work. I love my hairdresser, Samantha. She is very good at what she does and the best part is, she's quick! She can color, shampoo, cut, and style my hair in less than two hours! I am not one who likes to spend a lot of time sitting in a salon, so I really appreciate that about her. I would (and have) recommend this salon to anyone. The prices are comparable to other salons and you really do ""get what you pay for."" more

For months my friends have been trying to get my to try Carmen Carmen in university. They both are regular clients of Kristina and Sam and they always bring them up when we get on the topic of hair. I finally broke down and called to make and appointment, I never like trying new things especially when it comes to a new hairstylist. I was so relaxed about the situation once I called and expressed my wants and concerns to the receptionist, she talked with me for over 10 minutes assuring me that I would walk out LOVING my hair and explained that even though the stylist I was with was young, she had years of experience. Reading some of these other reviews I would have NEVER called them, but she even explained to me that at this salon not only have they graduated from school but they have to pass the ""program"" within Carmen Carmen (that is mostly taught by Carmen) to even become a stylist with the company. I was thrilled!! My appointment was with Rachel. I was a few minutes late due to traffic but when I walked in they greeted me as if I was a friend they havent seen in a while, I felt so welcomed. I assumed I would be rushed to the back since I was late but boy was I wrong. The girl at the front desk asked me how my day was going, offered me snacks, water, coffee, or soda and told me to make myself comfortable and Rachel would be with me in a moment. Rachel then greeted me and took me to her chair, she listened to my needs, gave me her advice and opinions and then ask me was everything okay and if I needed anything before we got started. She then gave me a complimentary scalp and shoulder massage, it was great. Needless to say I had no reason to worry, my hair was great; the best it has ever felt, so I have now left my salon downtown. Im so glad I gave Carmen Carmen a chance. The prices are reasonable too, there is a price range for everyone, along with the spa experience! Through out my first time there I was greeted by the manager (who my girlfriends told me was now the NEW manager) she was so nice and so heartfelt. Make sure you go try Carmen Carmen at University- Mallard Pointe! I will forever be a client there from now on!!!!!! more

I have been delighted with everyone who has serviced there. I have finally settled on my perfect match for color (Andrea) and cut (Maria) but have also observed other clients with beautiful outcomes. I have had my hair done over the years in Dallas, TX and Los Angeles by very fine salons and Carmen Carmen definitely meets these standards. more

The University location is so convenient. The front desk staff was really friendly and helpful. My stylist was Jessica and she was really friendly, listened to how I wanted my hair cut and was enjoyable to be with. I loved the stress relief scalp massage and she did a great job on my hair! It turned out better than I imagined! I will be re-booking my next appt. with her. more

I had been to Carmen Carmen once or twice in recent years and had a decent experience, however, I went in on Tuesday to make an appointment and they fit me in within 10 minutes and I had a stylist who made me feel like a celebrity! Not to mention, Carmen came over himself and made me feel like I was the only one in the salon! Best salon experience EVER, best stylist, best customer service and my hair has never looked so great! I couldn't be happier with everything! more

I was so pleased to have discovered Falon. After lining up several appointments over the next 6 months with her, I received a call from the salon telling me she is no longer with them. After having had the same thing happen to me with Jennifer at Ballantyne Carmen Carmen I was very disappointed. Where did Falon go? My interest is in the stylist, not the salon! more

I would have given this place five stars in the past, because my stylist (Angie) was incredible. But now she is gone and they won't tell me where she went. So, if anyone knows where Angie is working now, could you please leave a comment here? I've had stylists leave other salons in the past but the salon was always willing to tell me where they went and give me the option to stay or follow the stylist. A good stylist is hard to find and they are not interchangeable more

I had previously had my hair cut and style by Fallon who did a great job with my naturally CURLY hair. Today by the will of GOD I booked with Fallon but was given the wrong time and had to see Laura - She was absolutely wonderful. I was a little nervous because all the reviews said Fallon for curly type hair but Laura did a fantastic job with the cut and style. You can definitely tell that she has been doing this for a long time and it is a gift. Thank you so much for fitting me in without a set appt to see you. My husband absolutely LOVED the hair. Would Highly recommend both Laura and Fallon! more

I had my hair colored twice and it still is not the right color. I'm not impressed, especially given the price and ""specialist"" title. However, love getting my eyebrows waxed there! more

I have been a customer of this salon for approximately 9 years and have had nothing but the best service! Randi has been coloring my hair for 8 of those 9 years and I would never consider having anyone else touch my color! She knows I need my color every 4 weeks and she always makes sure I get the appointment I need. Fallon cuts my hair and recently gave me a gorgeous super short cut, that I get complimented on constantly. They all provide the best customer service imaginable. This includes Randi, Fallon, Sherry, the manager, Deena, and Ashley who works up front. Although, everyone I've ever dealt with has been great! You'd be crazy not to love this salon!! Erin is the best for facials and massages! I've got facials done at other Carmen locations, but I've always been back to Erin. She knows what she's doing and recommends what's best for your skin. The only drawback is the lack of privacy, it's a bit too loud at times because there are only a couple massage rooms but I'll still go back for a wonderful facial.
