In 1986 this Attorney, and I do use the term loosely drew up a residential lease for his father, L Hal Heafner, on a property where I lived for 31 years. In 2005 I was told by this attorney's brother in writting that this lease WAS NOT valid but was only a ""vehicle"" to obtain Government money, in short it was a FRAUD perpetrated on my husband, myself, and the FMHA in Ashe County NC, not worth the paper it was written on. Later William H Heafner went on to perjury himself in an Ashe County courtroom in front of Judge Edgar Gregory by, claiming that that ""Yes, he did draw up a lease but it was NOT the one I possessed ""which was registered, and notarized in 1986, complete with the state of North Carolina seal. Judge Gregory then proceeded with a copy of this registered lease complete with state seal in hand to issue a court order that MY lease was never registered or valid in the first place. This attorney and his brother, James H Heafner, now president and treasurer of Christmas Mountain, then went on to claim they did NOT know who I was or why I lived on their father's property. With his shoirt and forgetfu7l memory I would NOT allow William H Heafner to draw up a dog licence for me let alone any other documents. Avoid this poor excuse for an attorney. Nor would I do business with either James or William H Heafner, nor any member of their family ever again, since registered valid documents mean nothing to them. On February 15, 2006 their lies resulted in the destruction oif my paid for mobile home and just about everything I owned and caused the deaths of several of my valued beloved pets. They firmly believe the end and money justifies any means they have to use to get there including walking over a long time tenant of L Hal Heafner's. Do not make the mistake I did and deal with them in any manner.
