I have been going to Sandy's Sewing Den for alterations for the past two or three years. Up until my last visit, I was happy with the work done. This trip, I brought in my husband's brand new True Religion jeans (over $200) to have shortened. When I arrived to pick the jeans up, I couldn't believe what they had done. On the jeans, they cut off the excess material and turned up the hem on each leg like a skirt hem....no top stitching? I could have done that myself. I was shocked and when I talked to the owner/manager, she had an defensive attitude and said, ""then you should have asked for Euro hem"". She repeated this phrase to me 4 or 5 times. I told her I had never even heard of Euro hem, and I just assumed that the hem would look like the hem they cut off. She was so rude and took the jeans in the back and stitched around the bottom. They look terrible. I will never bring anything there again, simply because of the tone and defensive way I was talked to. I think they have young people sewing that don't know what they are doing and obviously their work is not being checked. Terrible customer service!
