Worst Dealership Ever!!!!!!!! 3/4/2012

This has to be one of the worst dealerships ever , i agree with the other respondents in the way they trat people bought a car from them. the next day tey called me and told me the extended warentey was not going to be honered. 3 months later and over $1,800 in service they still have not refunded my deposit on the warenty i bought from easy care. To top it all of no one would even talk to me when i went there i have been there three times and the same attitude Rude and an OH WELL shouldnt of bought a used car attitude. I will never buy a car from them again , i would rather walk.......Supreised there still in buisness... Filed a complaint with Better buisness today and would suggest everyone else do the same so other hard working people dont get the shaft at the hand of TOM GILL CHEVROLET>>>>> more

Buyer Beware!! 9/12/2011

They claim they are a business of character. I agree with the other negative comments they only keep their positive ones on the website and they are shady. I purchased a car from them last year thought it was a good deal they said it had equity in the car. So went this year to trade in for two older vehicles. Made us wait 5 hours the first day and finally suggested we go home and will get to us tomorrow with working out the deal. Before we left we said don't sell the car! Didn't hear from them the next day only by a text message at 8:10 pm that said ""sorry we have been really busy haven't forgotten about you"". I didn't receive a call for two more days and when they finally did call me after calling them SEVERAL TIMES they told me it was going to cost me double payment for two cars that were three and four years older and when I said No lets just go with the one - they call me back 40 minutes later to tell me that the car was SOLD!!...so did you sell it in that 40 minutes or were you lying to me when you called the first time to tell me that my car payment was going to be $800 a MONTH!! - either way that is SHADY. So when I filed a complaint with the GM motors company the manager Randy said that they did EVERYTHING they could to work out a deal with us...Another lie ...NO calls for three days and giving me an option of paying double what I am paying now?? What?? And to further the point of their BAD Business of Character...While we were there on the first day we wanted to look at a Mercury SUV that was on their website the salesperson said ""oh that is gone but you wouldn't have wanted that car anyways it has a lot of problems and keeps on coming back""...So I feel sorry for that person that bought that SUV in August b/c they sold you something knowing it was a lemon!! And to further make my point as we were there on the first day a another customer was extremely upset about the deal she got with Tom Gill Chevrolet and that it wasn't the deal they agreed upon and NO one wanted to talk to this lady about her situation so not only are they shady but they are cowards! GO some place else b/c you will be taken, maybe not the first time but you will the next!!! more

Worst Chevrolet dealer in the area. 5/19/2011

Take your time and shop somewhere else. The dealerrater website is a waste of time considering tom gill staff removes all negative reviews and they write their own positive reviews. You may fool some, but you can't fool us all fella's. Business of characters. more

Tom Gill is a Good Guy 5/6/2009

Tom Gill's family has been in the car business for over 50 years. His stepfather, Norm Chesrown, owned Chesrown Oldsmobile in Columbus. Tom's brother and nephew Jim and Ryan Gill now own the Chesrown Chevrolet-Cadillac-Pontiac-Buick-GMC dealership. Norm's brother Dave owns a dealership in Newark, Ohio. Tom's other brother owns Dave Gill Chevrolet in Columbus. They are a nice family and have given me good deals and good service before. You don't stay in business for 50+ years if you don't treat the customer right. See story: www.delgazette!c!o!m/local.asp?ID=1601&Story=2 Pros: Great deals; Great service. more

Don't Recommend 2/18/2009

They are very shady and don't do what they say they are going to do. Be very careful when buying from them. Supposedly they are a ""Business of Character"" but in my opinion it is bad character. more

Make sure you buy what you want! 9/2/2008

My husband bought a truck, and on his way home...i know this sounds stupid, but people make mistakes....he realized it wasn't 4 wheel drive. So we went back up to Tom Gill, and told them what happened. They kept saying it was buyers remorse, but it wasn't. He thought it was 4 wheel drive. Anyways, they said we could trade it for something on the lot, but they had nothing even remotely close to it, so guess who is stuck with a truck that they don't even want.....BE CAREFUL more
