FastTans has recently taken over the Malibu Tanning on 96th & Allisonville, the place I have been tanning for over 10 yrs. I went there to tan on 3/26 and, while checking in at the front counter, the mgr/owner (woman with long blonde hair) starts asking me questions about whether I actually paid for the tans that were on my account. I told her that I've been paying for all of my tans for over 10 yrs. She says that her computer makes it appear that, while it was still Malibu Tanning, I didn't make ANY payments, which is not true and not my problem (it's their computer system).
She let me tan and, after I got done, I asked her if she had figured out the problem. She then, basically, accused me of working out side deals with previous management or employees for free tans. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. She said she would look into it further and call me later.
She called me about a half hour later and told me that she was wiping the remaining 17 tans off my account unless I could prove that I paid for those tans. I HAD TO PROVE THAT I PAID FOR THE TANS ON MY ACCOUNT! Unbelievable.
I went through bank statements and found some transactions. But, I'm not going back there. After all, there are a TON of other tanning salons out there. And that's something she should have considered before running this long-time customer off.
Good luck if you choose this place to tan at! She treated me like I was one of her employees that had been stealing from her. I still can't believe it.
