HORRIBLE COMPANY! COUPLES BEWARE! 5/29/2009

For a long time, I used to work at Rembrandt Studios Chicago in sales and other promotions. I can state from personal experience that they are a terrible company – one of the WORST photography studios in the Chicagoland area. I strongly advice potential customers to avoid them. A lot of their key employees seemingly come and go as they please, and show up to work two hours after they’re normally expected. Rembrandt promises you an “experienced photographer”, but in many cases, assign amateurs who have never even shot a wedding before. I was shocked when I learned this and even more distressed when I learned one of their photographers was assigned a second wedding after he had thoroughly ruined the first one they assigned him! Rembrandt is also months late on their “estimated ready date” of their wedding album, miss many photos, and alarmingly, the owners act indifferent to the situation when couples have reached the end of their rope. The ABC7 report was absolutely true when it stated Rembrandt leads the Chicago area in complaints. I wasn’t involved in those problem departments during my time with the company, and sadly my concerns fell on deaf ears, so I resigned. The people involved in the day to day operations of Rembrandt are backstabbers and extremely callous. Don’t just take my word for it, see what other customers and former employees have to say. Bottom line: Stay FAR away from Rembrandt! Pros: None that I can think of. Cons: Unprofessional, lax, cheap (as in cuts corners), incompetent more

Terrible service, disappointing product 4/22/2008

My wedding was almost 3 years ago and when I saw this business in this listing, I felt compelled to warn others. Using Rembrandt Studios is my major regret from my wedding. Regardless of how inexpensive it is and how beautiful their examples are, I would never recommend this place to my worst enemy. I feel foolish for trusting them. The photographer was late, he missed key standard wedding photos (grandparents, reception entrance, guests, etc.) and I later found out he was rude to my guests. During our receiving line of 200 guests, he took 2 pictures. At the reception, he was more concerned with setting up his backdrop than taking pictures. I do not have an actual wedding portrait because the few pictures he took of just my husband and I turned out terrible. I ended up writing a very professional, strongly worded letter to the company expressing my extreme disappointment with their service, but did not receive an apology of any sort. As silly as this may sound, it is difficult for me to look at other people's wedding pictures without feeling disdain for my own. From my experience, Rembrandt Studios provides terrible service and a disappointing product. Pros: Inexpensive compared to many photography studios in the area Cons: Late to event, rude to guests, missed standard shots, photographs turned out poorly more

Horrible, unprofessional and lax 6/5/2007

Do not be fooled by the lovely presentation the sales representative give with the alluring price of the photographer/videographer package. This place RUINED my wedding. Everytime I think about that day I get angry, which is not what a bride should think. The photographer was slow of movement and of wit. He dragged the day. He took a lot of time to figure out the most basic shots. The only candids he took were of dancing. There was no artistic expression whatsoever. He didn't even get a picture of my husband and I walking down the aisle, no to mention the more subtle pictures he didn't take. When I complained about him to the management their remedy was a free 8X10, whoopty-doo. The videographer was more concerned with when they got to eat that taking video. He missed my entrance into the church, which I will never forgive him for. The didn't get their digital phots on the internet until two months after the wedding, most places do not take longer than a week. I didn't get the video or my album until almost a year after my wedding. Their excuse: it's our busy season. My advice to any bride is to go elsewhere a pay a little more for worlds better quality. I can't imagine a worse company Pros: Price, conveineince Cons: Unprofessional, lazy, bad customer service more
