MY FAVORITE PIZZA IN ATLANTA 1/8/2010

It seems that some people might have hit or miss experiences at Christo's based on what they order...well if you get their pizza with the right toppings, then you will be treated to the best pizza in the city.\r \r You must get their cheese pizza - any size - and add feta cheese and their ground hamburger. It's not typical hamburger, it's a home made recipe, and the combination of flavors just melts in your mouth for a flavor you just can't find anywhere else in this city.\r \r I have been eating here for probably around 20 years now, and I guarantee you will enjoy this pizza. Feel free to respond to my review if you can and let me know how you liked it.\r \r Top off your pizza with a piece of their baklavah. It's also a family recipe and you will love it. Pros: Pizza, Gyros, Grinders, Baklavah Cons: Some menu items may be hit or miss more

5 STARS?? WHY?? 11/5/2009

Ordered spanikopita, plate arrived with six pieces, only one with spinach, owner explained that the rest were another kind of Greek pastry. OK. Ordered lunch-sized pizza with Canadian bacon (which was fine, but very greasy), sun-dried tomatoes (with no flavor, how do you do that to a sun-dried tomato?) and spinach (which resembled the frozen chopped kind and bore no resemblance to fresh) and an almost non-existent and completely flavorless tomato sauce on an awful crust. Crust tasted like flour and water: this place has no understanding of what gluten and yeast and aging and rising do for the flavor of a pizza crust, like MM does. This is basic grub, nothing special at all. Diet Coke was delicious. Pros: Can't think of any Cons: Food, parking, atmosphere more

Mambo Italiano! 11/2/2009

Christos makes the best calzones anywhere. The spaghetti, pizza, and salads are some of the most exceptional, and authentic Italian cuisine I have tasted EVER! I only wish that the ambience were more upscale... dare I say- romantica! Although, there is nothing wrong with the current cafe' style setting, the food craves to be paired with a cigar and a good bottle of Cabernet. I'd love to see red table cloths on small tables, with those little red candles they used to have a Pizza Hut (when PH was actually a classy joint). Anyway, my final assessment of the place: a total ""Thumbs Up!"" Eat Here! Pros: Menu Items are Spectacular! Cons: Deserves better Italian atmosphere. more

Like Eating In Greece 5/29/2009

Okay yes, Christo's is located in the corner of a stripmall, however the food is the BEST GREEK FOOD EVER! Very comfortable inside, the food is fresh, and, if Sandy is there running the place, VERY entertaining (don't have a thin skin). I eat in and take home to my wife . . . in Gwinnett. Well worth any drive! Pros: It's like eating in Greece . . . Cons: At a stripmall. more

Best Gyros EVER! 5/27/2009

I've been meaning to write about this place for a long time. I first went to Chrosto's last summer, and I was overwhelmed by how good it was. And, while I could spend a lot of time writing about almost everything on the menu, I am singling out the gyros. Beyond good, beyond great, awesome!! Everything kicks butt there, however you'd need to go to Greece to get better gyros. Pros: Authentic! Cons: None. more

Great place for lunch 12/1/2008

Who knew that pizza was a greek delicacy? Christo's is a little out of the way but definitely worth the drive. If you have not tried it before, give the Gyro Salad a shot. You will not be disappointed. Pros: Gyros more

Best Greek Pizza in ATL 4/19/2008

I have been eating at Christos' Pizza since 1986. They have moved since then but are still the same place. I am very picky and do not like the same thing very often so I usual get pizza from Christos, once every three or four months. My wife and I moved to Snellville GA in 2003, and I am more likely to drive the 1 hr across the top end parameter than I am to find a great Greek pizza place near me. I have not had anything else there, but the beef pizza is to die for! As for the owner or any of his staff wearing a gun, it is a 2nd amendment right and I feel safer with them wearing it. The restaurant is not in a bad part of town. In fact Marietta is one of the safest and nicest areas in all of Atlanta. The restaurant is a step up from a pizza joint so don?t dress up, it?s a come as your are, place with very friendly ownership, pro military and police, and of course the best pizza in GA. Pros: Pizza, Pizza, Pizza Cons: We need one on the East side of town more

Ten Year Customer 4/16/2008

I've been eating at Christo's for over ten years. The food is excellent and the staff is friendly. Most of the staff have been there since I started going there 10 years ago. This is not a discount pizzeria that sells you a large pizza for $5 and gives you nothing but dough. They are mid priced and you get your monies worth. My favorites are the greek salad and white pizza. If you want a treat, give the baklava a try. more

Absolutely LOVE Christos' and so will you! 1/10/2007

A repeat customer for 10+ years I have always highly recommended Christos' to everyone! Their entire menu is excellent. My personal favorite is their White Pizza. Believe me when I say that you've never had a better white pizza - the perfect amount of garlic and blend of cheeses - cooked perfectly. If you've never had a white pizza, stop by and see for yourself. I've traveled frequently, tried other white pizzas, even several in NYC, and none compare. I turned my sister on to their white pizza - she'd never had one. Now, everytime I visit her, she lives 50+ miles away, she absolutely insists that I grab one to go. Their entire menu is excellent!!! The affable Greek American guy the previous user referenced, there are two - brothers in fact. They do treat their customers well, whether you're there for your 1st visit or your 100th. This is a family owned and operated business - you'll not find another like it anywhere!! Skip all the other pizza joints, they're not worthy! Pros: Excellent menu and service Cons: Not open Sunday's more

The Best Gyro I have ever tasted 7/19/2006

I've had a couple of friends tell me this place was good. And I always meant to go down there and try it but never got around to doing so. Last night after work, I met up with my wife, kids and my mother in law and my mother in law suggested we try it.\r \r The three adults each ordered a Gyro and my wife and I decided to split a small salad. The kids shared a small pizza. The salad was excellent - fresh vine ripened tomatoes, seasoned Greek olives; Feta cheese and an olive oil based Greek salad dressing. A very firm, vine ripened tomato is a true delicacy - and this guy's tomatoes were amazing. The salad was mouth watering and delicious. But the real stunner was yet to come.\r \r Our waitress brought out three of the biggest Gyros I have ever seen. They do NOT skimp on the meat!! Made with delicious lamb and Tzatziki sauce with lettuce, a lightly grilled pita roll and fresh tomato slices, this is a sure thing. The flavor of the meat was fantastic. I HATE restaurants that use ground beef and try to pass it off as lamb - as if a Gyro lover wouldn't notice the difference. The owner of THIS restaurant is clearly a purist.\r \r We gorged ourselves on the food and as we were leaving, the owner came out and treated us like he'd known us for years. A very affable Greek American guy that was full of good humor, and very down to earth and outgoing. I liked him immediately. I can tell you, we'll DEFINITELY be back. In fact, I may make a few lunch stops there from time to time - even if I just get one of those big Gyros for a take out lunch. \r \r The prices are right and the service is excellent. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!!\r more

The Best Food In Atlanta, Great Gyros And Pizza A++ more

Ok... 4/16/2005

I was expecting a lot more from the reviews I read. The pizza left a lot to be disired. Very crusty and not much flavor. Not to my tastes. The kids had chicken fingers which were adequate. Nice facilities, good beer selection though. more

Marietta's Best!!! 11/17/2004

We have been going to Christos' Pizza for several years. The owners treat you like a best friend, and the service is great. Their pizza and Greek cusine have set the bar so high, nothing else compares! Excellent salads, as well. I travel the country with work and haven't found any better. Lots of seating, so you don't have to wait in line. We make it a point to take all our out of town visitors to Christos. I highly recommend it. Pros: Menu Variety, Service, The Pizza! more

Best Pizza Place you never heard about. 8/23/2002

It's kinda scary seeing Pizza Hut and Domino's showing up on ""Best Pizza"" Lists. Even though I think places like Mellow Mushroom and Fellini's have good pizza, they do not even come close to Christo's Pizza. This is the REAL deal, a family owned restaurant with simply the best most authentic and delicious pizza in Atlanta. Don't be put off that it is OTP or that it is in a strip mall. Be forewarned though: once you go, Mellow Mushroom and the other chains won't seem nearly the taste treat you once thought they were. Pros: best pizza in ATL, authentic, friendly servers Cons: average atmosphere more
