I spoke with Sean three times about a problem I was having with an HDMI port on my plasma TV. After removing the set from its mount and bringing it in, [an hour drive], he did not have blueray or HDMI signal to test the unit. He tested it with the coax and RCA ports and told me I probably did not want to spend to fix it if it was the main board. What a waste of time. I provided model & serial number and a description of the problem. If he did not have the equipment to test the unit and without testing told me to replace it, he was not very helpful. Great place if you have a TV from the '80s like most of the others lying around his shop. more

Honesty 12/18/2011

One thing I have learned in the 28 years that I have spent in the military is honesty and integrity and Glen and his little business has it covered. My wife and I have used him many times. The last repair I had done there was a minimal expense and they were very helpful and honest, Thanks guys!!! Keep up the Good Work... MSG Queen more

Great Service 12/10/2011

I have a Samsung 46"" TV that is a little over 1 year out of warranty. After the power went out, about half of the functions stopped working (e.g. it would turn off, but not on; it would not cycle through the inputs, etc.). I spent 30 minutes on the phone with Samsung and they best they would offer to do is send out a repair guy for $80 just to diagnose the problem. Being told by Samsung that it was probably a problem with the IR receiver or the main board, I started looking online for a local repair shop. I found some great reviews for these guys and made the drive up 75. When I got to the store and plugged in the TV, everything was working perfectly. Glen and his wife told me that the problem was probably a power surge, which would fix itself after the TV had been unplugged for 20 minutes. Nothing needed to be fixed. If I had called first, they would have been happy to tell me that this was probably the problem; however, it was worth the drive because I got to meet some great people. When I offered to pay them for the diagnoses, they said that a dollar seemed like a fair price. I couldn't believe it. Most other places I had looked up charged between $50 or $60 just to look at the TV. When I pulled out my wallet and all I had was a $2 bill, they laughed and told me not to worry about it. I almost hope my TV does break because I would love to give them some business. more

So happy I found this place!!! 12/5/2011

I came across this place purely by coincidence (online). I was a little apprehensive at first since I had never been to this shop and was afraid of getting ripped off. The owner Glen and his wife were very friendly and knowledgeable. They took their time to listen to the problem I was having with my TV and gave me the right diagnosis for it. I brought my bad lamp and Glen replaced with it a new one. It worked like a charm! He even asked me to call back and let them know how everything went once I installed the new lamp. I appreciate the help and it was truly refreshing to find people who actually care about their customers!! I will definitely go back to Atlanta TV & Video Repair and also recommend all my friends/family to them. more

doing the right thing 9/7/2011

Although we did not have success fixing my tv, I do appreciate the efforts that the staff made. They seemed to make an honest effort to fix the tv, and although there were some miscommunications along the way, I feel they made an effort to do the right thing, and I appreciate that. more

Awesome Customer Service 7/22/2011

We have a 52 inch, 2003 Sony Color Rear Video Projector TV. When we came back from vacation, the TV only showed snow, but the game system worked fine on it. We were dreading taking this to a repair company because it is HUGE and HEAVY! more

Awesome 6/22/2011

I called about a TV repair and was told up front there would be a non refundable $50.00 diagnostic fee which sounded reasonable. I was also told this would be applied to my bill if repairs were made. I had researched the issue with my TV online and the price quoted for repair was at the low end of range quoted on the blog. I took my TV to Glen and he plugged it in and it began working again. Of course there was no charge but be also told me if it stopped working again I should call before I bring it in and he would try to trouble shoot the problem over the phone and try to save me a trip to the store. What awesome customer service! more

Above Expectations 6/20/2011

From the moment I spoke with ""the lady of the house"" until I left with my new lamp installed in my old casing, I was treated much better than anyone I've come in contact with both on the phone and in person in a long, long time. Not only was the quality of the lamp top notch the quality of the knowledge shared with me on reinstallation cautions and concerns was superb. more

Sometimes you have to take a chance 1/16/2011

When trying to find someone to repair our TV, I read the reviews. The review that said the service was over priced almost kept me from visiting this business. However, I decided to take a chance and I'm glad I did. The owners gave great customer service and repaired our TV. I don't write many reviews but I wanted to write this review to keep anyone from making the mistake that I almost did - passing this business up. Go visit them for your repair needs. more

Atlanta TV & Video Repair Review 12/8/2010

I have been a customer of Atlanta TV and Repair for about 15 years so you can trust my review. As a matter of fact if you bring in a camcorder that is not working due to a moisture problem, you will might hear the owner mention a guy that tipped over a canoe along with his Nikon camera and camcorder.Well that guy was me and no , they weren't able to revive the camcorder but it makes a good story. more

My TV Repair was FREE!!! Honest advice from... 10/22/2010

Honest advice from the Owner of Atlanta TV & Video Repair was all I needed to get my 11 year old rear projection TV up to 100%. Both tuners on antenna A & B inputs had shorted out, but Glenn (the Owner) asked if I had tried using the component video out from my cable box to one of my direct AV inputs. I left his shop and went back to my home, re-routed some component video chords and INSTANTLY - my TV was as GOOD as NEW!!! A few years ago, I had used ATL TV & V for a repair needed on my first TV purchased in '92, and for under $100 they repaired that set to NEW performance standards. It is STILL serving my workout room like a champ. Glenn and Marcia are experienced and honest. I am happy to recommend them. more

Way Over Priced 6/17/2010

I have a problem with my rear-projection TV...these fols say parts will be about $60 and labor (in store) is $300. I did a little homework and found that this repair takes two chips that I have found locally for $18 each, and I can get them online for as lows as $12 with free shipping. I also found a TV repair man who will install the chips - in my home - for $100 and guarantees his work. These folks are nice and they have been living off the fat of East Cobb for many years but I'd rather spend money on new equipment than pay triple the actual cost of a repair. When I commented on the labor I was told it is an expensive TV and I'm paying for the knowledge and experience to fix it without causing further damage. I think not. Pros: been in business a long time Cons: they charge double to triple for the work more

Wonderful service!!!! 5/25/2010

Our plasma television started bringing up a settings menu over and over again. You could not watch anything on it... I called several places, including Philips trying to find out what was wrong. Everyone I spoke to said this was an expesive problem to fix... that entire panel would need to be replaced or that it was not worth fixing. Luckily, Atlanta Tv and Video was one of the places I called:) They were so friendly and helpful!!! They took my information and then researched the problem. A very short time later they called back and said to try a firmware update through the philips website. Even Philips didnt suggest this!!!! My husband was able to download updates and transfer them to our tv thru the usb port... It worked!!!!! The television is working perfectly!!!! Without them we would have never known to do this!!! We were thinking that the problem was not able to be fixed. Not only did this fix it but it was FREE!!! They could of easily asked us to bring it in and then done this for us at any charge. How wonderful to know there are such honest and helpful people out there when you have a problem:) I will recommend this company to everyone I know!!!! I will gladly take my tv there the next time I have any problems!!!! I cant tell you how much I appreciate their help and honesty!!!! Wonderful business and wonderful people!!!! Thanks again!!! more

Best Tube TV Repair in town 3/23/2010

I have used this company twice already. I have tube TV's rather than new flat screens. The Tubes may be heavy, but how many times does a person move? Plus they were NOT made in China and therefore could last decades if maintained properly. The 1st was a 19"" and the 2nd repair was for a small 13"" in the guest room. Both problems were diagnosed the same day it was dropped off. I promptly received a call advising what the problem was and parts and labor. (Both cases were under $80 and worth it. If the TV is 15 years or older then obtaining parts is difficult and may not be worth it, but they tell you that. My 19"" bedroom set is 17 years old, and now the colors, sound are perfect and may last another 17 years. Very happy with this outfit. Pros: Quick and Proper long term repair Cons: You have to bring the heavy TV more

Honest & Reliable 8/1/2009

I have done business with this Mom & Pop shop for several years. I would never hesitate to recommend them to anyone for the honest and dependable service which they provide. It is rare to find an honest business. I just recently picked up my 1995 tv and it was repaired at a most reasonable price. They, also, warranty their repair. Where in today's world will you find a business like this? You can trust them. Pros: Always honest more

I cannot stress enough the great service 7/25/2009

I called and they tried to find a solution over the phone at no cost. When I came in they were able to quickly diagnose and fix the TV and also check the remote to find it was bad as well. For this they charged a nominal (low) fee and I was on my way home with a set that worked. It is good to see a family business that sets such a high standard for customer service. If any thing else goes wrong I will be back. Pros: Very fast service more

Honest business 5/16/2009

I brough in our 42 inch flat screen TV that did not work. I had replaced the lamp and that did not do it so I was afraid something really expensive was broken. Atl TV & Video did the diagnostic right away and whatever magic they do it worked again. Pros: Tell you as it is no rip-off more

Honest repair service 4/25/2009

I came into the store and discussed my ""unique"" problem with my 2 year old DLP TV. They took the time to speak with me in detail and made some suggestions prior to bringing the TV in for repair. It worked and my TV is back! No charge and no unnecessary expense. He could have just told me to bring it in and charge me for a inspection or an unnecessary repair. A true professional. I would definitely recommend Atlanta TV & Video Repair. more
