mystic is the best in tampa 7/18/2008

i've beeng going to mystic for years and my hair has never looked better. the stylists there really know their stuff, and they take the time to listen to what i really want. for the first time since i've lived in florida, i found a salon that can do my color and haircut the way i want it! i've been to a few different stylists because of my crazy schedule and all of them have been awesome and treat me like gold. i feel relaxed the minute i walk in the door because i know i'm going to get a great service every time. more

Beauty Salon par excellance 7/18/2008

Mystic Hair salon is run efficiently and professionally and the proof is in the excellent cutting styles of the technicians and the wonderful treatment that one receives from the staff. I have always been thrilled by the result and equally pleased with the courtesy I received from all employees. Chris , the owner, is savvy in both the business end and the styling end of the business. Pros: Hair salon is fantastic Cons: Sometimes one can't get an appointment because they are so heavily booked. more

The Best Experience of my Life! 7/17/2008

Ive had many fair share of bad hair cuts and let me tell you that Mystic Hair is by far the BEST salon Ive come across. At first I will admit I was intimidated by my outside image but after walking in and was greeted by such an amazing team. WOW, was I wrong and much so relieved. Bianca,my stylist, did such an amazing job on me. It was almost as if she was in my head knowing the exact look I was going for. I adsolutely love my new-do. The highlights, color, and cut she did was the betst I've ever had done. Thank you, Mystic. I highly recommend this salon!!! Pros: Accomidate you even with a difficult schedule! more

Mystic Hair is a wonderful salon!!!! The staff is friendly and willing to help me make an appointment even with my difficult schedule. Jaime is my stylist!! She was willing to sit down with me and discuss the newest trends so that I walked out of the salon with exactly what i wanted. MY HAIR LOOKS GREAT!!!! I'd highly recommend this salon/spa to my friends and family! more

Great Service !!! 7/17/2008

I had a 8 girls in my wedding party and my mom get are hair done Wow! Great service my stylist came in at 8 along with 4 other stylist to do our makeup and hair . They made the begining of my wedding day fun and relaxing, the hair and makeup was great!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't thank all of you enough so I'll share it with others on the Webb. Best salon in the bay area! 7/14/2008

I love, love, love Mystic Hair! The staff there is soooo friendly from the time you walk in until the time you leave. You can be rest assured you're in good hands not matter whom you book an appointment with. They are quite knowledgeable in color and the current trends in hair cuts etc. The staff's appearance is always well groomed and sharp and professional looking. I love the fact that they pride themselves in continuing education and always have goals the need to work towards. I would refer friends and family of all ages here. Worst nightmare! Stay away! 5/6/2008

I went into Mystic Hair a month before my wedding, wanting to return to my darker natural color and to trim my hair. My roots ( about an inch from my scalp) ended up being a very dark brown while the rest of my hair remained a dirty blond. Worst of all, the stylist cut my bangs too far back and ended up taking off about 13 inches of my long locks. Now one side of my head looks like I'm growing a mullet. When I started crying in the stylist's chair because I was so horrified by the results, another stylist came over, asked how old I was, told me (I kid you not) that I need to "grow up" and move chairs because another gust was waiting to sit there. I have never been so mistreated in my life. The salon offered to put hair extensions in my hair to "repair" the mistake in order to look decent for an updo on my wedding day. I declined, not wanting them to ruin my hair any more. STAY AWAY FROM HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR HAIR AND WANT GOOD SERVICE! Pros: NONE Cons: inexperienced, rude and just downright mean staff. more

USEFUL Easy and convenient for small services 5/22/2007

Sweet spot for small services, like children's haircuts, mani-pedis, massages, waxing, hair trims, etc. They are sweet with kids. We're not talking about Vogue magazine hair here, more like a Supercuts with extras, but it's OK for a trim in a pinch. They will work you in if they can, and you can't beat the location. Nice environment but sneaky moves to add $ on to your bill 12/27/2006

Mystic has a great concept and environment...the spa overlooks a serene pond...it puts one in the the most relaxing space. The massage therapist was very nice. The hair salon staff is young and hip but every service is an additional charge. Beware when an extra condtioner or toner is added to your head because it will be on your bill. Staff does not tell you this as you go along. Also, your stylist may raise prices between visits and not tell you. Nail services cost different prices in the salon than they do in the spa. This is a nice salon but it's not anywhere near the quality that the prices being charged indicate. I've had my hair done in NYC, L.A. and Phoenix...those salons deserve the prices they charge. No More Searching for Salon Services 6/8/2006

I have been going to Mystic Hair since it first opened at its location off of Nort Dale Mabry Avenue - about 7 years now. Up to that point I had been going from Salon to Salon around Tampa Bay, traveling as far South as South St. Petersburg and as far North as New Tampa, finding some very good technicians here and there, but inevitably suffering from "client complacency" - you know, the salon tech that treats you like a queen at first, but then over time takes less time with your hair, runs late often and sometimes doesn't even fully style your hair? No matter how great those first few appointments were with my past stylists, it always seemed to get "stale" after the first few visits. I have almost always had an oustanding experience at Mystic Hair - from the time you walk in the door and are offered an assortment of refreshments through the service and check out. The staff are "groomed" from the front desk up, resulting in a more dedicated staff that intends on staying longer term. The ownership takes what they do extremely seriously, constantly educating and training technicians in new techniques and creative styles, and they take pride in their salon and its reputation. I would highly recommend Mystic Hair. Pros: Great shaded parking, easy location Cons: sometime difficult to get an appointment more

The Time Of My Life!!! 5/30/2006

I love Mystic Hair!!, you walk through the doors and are greeted by the helpful, SMILING receptionists. They ask if you want anything to drink, and show you where to sit. You glance around and see an elegant, yet contemporary look. Very PROFESSIONAL! One side you see The Spa, saying Treatments in Progress Tranquility Please. The other side, you see the stylists working hard, yet having a blast. I sat down, and was immediately greeted by the stylist and brought to her chair, we had a consultaion, regarding what I wanted to achieve when I left. She answered all my questions and was very supported, not once did she have a negative comment. We proceeded with the service and throughout she would ask if i needed anything or had any questions. When it was all done, I looked amazing, I have never felt better since visiting and experiencing MYSTIC HAIR!! more

Very talented stylists, friendly staff, great atmosphere! I love my new look and I'm eager to experience future visits to the spa! So relaxing and peaceful! Thank goodness for the 'NO CELL PHONES OR BEEPERS' sign in the spa area. I needed to get away from the craziness for a little while. more

I had several spa services. They were outstanding! I have visited many "so called" spas; they were average at best. Mystic's is clean, quaint, and relaxing. Customer Service? Where? 1/28/2004

Our of several experiences there, my appointments have been mysteriously moved, cancelled, or my hairdresser was gone? Went to work "somewhere else" -- we wish her well kind of answer. Never any notifications after leaving my home and cellular number with them. There is a much better place where you are far better off, offering a true Salon & Spa experience, just a few miles from there. Cons: , Poor Service, Poorly run more

WORST NIGTHMARE! 1/27/2004

this place was the worst nigthmare ever!!!! i went there on my WEDDING DAY to get my makeup done and i got out of there crying 2 hours before my wedding. in 26 years old and this lady made me look like a mummy, i told her i wanted a dramatic look, not a clown look!!!!! I wont go there EVER AGAIN in my life!!!! and none of my friends will ever consider to go there, not even for a broken nail! Cons: terrible, non qualified, worst customer svc. more
