The food is delicious, the staff looks sad 5/26/2010

the pizza here is authentic new york style, very tasty, the garlic knots are perfect to start off with. the atmosphere is cute the way there are napkins framed on the walls with little kids writing about how much they love the place. \r \r the staff here does a good job of moving fast, keeping the place clean, and being polite. However, when we ate here there were about 4 different people waiting on us, i wonder who got the tip? the staff looks a little overworked but they do an outstanding job and the food here is incredible, definately recommend it. the new york salad is delicious Pros: great pizza, local owed, good prices more

don't go in two's 12/22/2009

I will say this, the pizza was great. The owner refuses to give spatulas or anything so you can get your slices off of the tray (he's looking for a lawsuit since we ended up burning our fingers). Then the tables for two are so unbelievably small that when the waiter showed with the pizza, he had nowhere to put it so we ended up pulling up a chair and eating our pizza off of it...which got plenty of looks and embarrassment. I would not go back to this establishment again - eating off of a chair and burnt fingers are not an enjoyable experience. Pros: Great Pizza Cons: Small tables, eat off of a chair and nothing to pick up with more

Best pizza in Colorado- SERIOUSLY 6/16/2009

I’ve tried many, many pizza places and Big Bill’s is an INSTITUTION! We are a family from NJ and this is the closest you get to NY style in CO. Get NO OR 1 topping on your pizza!! Good NY style pizza is less about toppings, more about crust, cheese and sauce. If you get a lot of toppings, it tastes only a little better than the other Mom and Pop pizza places around town. I recommend getting meatball for your 1 topping. This place does get busy if you go during peak lunch or dinner times. If your service is slower, it’s when they are slammed, not because they are slacking. Pros: Awesome pizza Cons: Need more beer & cocktails, no delivery more

Best pizza in Denver 4/13/2009

Big Bill's has been a mainstay in South Denver for a long time, and for a good reason. You'll fight the crowds if you attempt to dine in, but they do a brisk (and friendly) takeout business, so waiting for a table is not required.\r \r Try a large mushroom pizza. Though simple, it really hits the spot. Pros: Pizza Cons: Crowds more

Best pizza in Denver Metro area. 2/21/2009

By far thebest pizza in the Denver metro area. It is not quite NY/NJ quality but it is as close as I've ever come out here. If you're hankering for a great slice with good atmosphere eat here. Pros: best pizza in the area Cons: beer selection is weak more

Rude owner and staff 7/30/2008

Was disappointed in how I was treated there the other night. With their rude owner and staff, the drive from Denver is not worth it. more

Truly, the only NY style pizza in Denver 12/20/2006

I've been searching for a decent slice for about a year now and finally found one worthy to describe as NY Style. The service is fast and seating is ample. The take out is quick and the chef's are a riot. Looking for some ring dings or drake's coffee cakes? Big Bill gets em straight out of a Sienfeld episode. \r Get it to go and your family will thank you! Pros: Great pizza, good subs, great price and NY fast baby! Cons: None, this place is great more

Good Pizza, But 11/18/2006

Big Bills makes a good pie. The problem I have is they cook on a conveyor. I know there busy and most people in Colorado have no idea. If your going to call yourself NY Pizza where does the conveyor come in? Better then 80% of the pizza out there. Pros: Cool Sports Stuff Cons: Pizza could be better if not cooked on a conveyor more

Good Pizza Place in Centennial 8/17/2006

This is a small little pizza place in a stripmall in Centennial. The pizza is good and tasty and the staff friendly. The servie is a little dodgy at times, we have had to wait for drinks and remind our servers that we want refills etc, but in fairness, they are extremely busy most of the time and it would be easy to forget. I recommend this place if you want New York style pizza. Pros: Good NY style pizza in the suburbs Cons: Service sometimes good, sometimes bad, parking lot is always full more

We love Big Bill's!! 8/10/2006

My husband and I love the pizza at Big Bill's!! We travel frequently and everytime we get back we go straight to Big Bill's. In fact, we are getting some tonite. Yes, the space is small but aren't most places in New York small too? Being from the east coast, I am glad to have Big Bill's near my home. There salads are great - one of the best ranch dressings around. Enjoy! Pros: Food Cons: It's better to eat there than get takeout. more

The BEST NY Pizza I've Found ""SO FAR"" 7/27/2006

After being born and raised in Brooklyn New York (I lived there for 24 years)...I have not found a better example of New York Pizza in the Denver Metro are yet. Great food - great service - great atmosphere. Run by the owners and not some minimum wage workers who could care less about your eating experience. The atmosphere is different because you know that many of the people you're eating with are former New Yorkers looking for some nostalgia (and great pizza).KUDOS to Big Bill's! In the evening - plan on waiting for a table...but it's worth the wait. Pros: Memories of days gone by Cons: Could be a larger facility more

Big Bill's New York Pizza 7/23/2006

Moving out to Colorado from Connecticut meant missing great pizza and bagels...until I fouind Big Bills. This is the closest thing in Denver to New York pizza. While it may not be Roma's in Ridgefield on Main St., it is the closest I've found outside of the tri-state area. Pros: taste, character, owners Cons: restaurant size- open one up near Aspen grove! more

True NY Pizza never comes out of a conveyor 6/29/2006

Stopped by for a slice. The cheese was good, I did not care for the pizza sauce. Very disappointed to see a conveyor oven. True NY Pizza never comes out of a conveyor. Better then the franchises. The garlic knots were aweful. Pros: Big, Beer Cons: Conveyor Oven more

Rude Owner 2/8/2006

Maybe the owner was having a bad day but the guy was rude and not patient with our group we made a trip there being from the North Jersey area and should be called Big Bills Denver Style Pizza more

User review by louisaelaine 10/12/2005

We love this place! One week there were two empty pizza boxes in the trash! Whenever we go out of town or the country we have to have a pizza before we leave and when we return. The crust is just right, not too much sauce and I would love to know what they put in the meatballs to taste so good. The salad is great too. We ususally get take out-thanks to the phone number programmed into the cell phone-but we like the local feel of the restaurant too. Thanks for being great! more

Good Pizza - Always Crowded 5/19/2005

Got a chance to eat here and really liked the pizza (I've never been to NY so I make no claims on if it's authentic) - Salads were good too. Every time we've been back, the line to be seated is out the door, the seating's cramped, and I have to drive around the parking lot of the strip mall for half an hour before finding a spot. Perhaps it's time to open another restaurant...might I suggest the DU area :) p.s. After dinner, get your self a twinkie, ho-ho, or ring-ding from the extensive selection of desert items. Pros: pizza, salads Cons: too many kids, non-central location more

Best pizza 3/15/2005

Best New York syle pizza in Colorado! A Must if you live in Denver! more

Delish! 5/12/2004

Finally! A NY Style Pizza that is actually NY Style! Being from NYC you miss a few things & pizza is at the top of the list!!! This place has NY style pizza & NY style design with pictures & banners of NY greats & teams. Great place to go with kids just know Friday - Sunday you are going to wait b/c everyone knows about this place but its always worth the wait!!!!!!!! Pros: Awesome Food, Family Friendly, Affordable more

I *LOVE* this place! 3/1/2003

My wife and I visit Big Bill's weekly for one thing; the standard large cheese pizza. It's GREAT! The service is friendly and fast, it's great for kids (although we don't have any), and it's a hangout for New Yorkers (we're not). Pros: Fast service, Friendly Staff, WONDERFUL Pizza! Cons: Crowded, Too many kids more

The Best NY-Style Pizza in CO. 8/20/2002

If you enjoy New York-Style pizza, and who doesn't, you'll love this place! I've tried many places (i.e. Anthony's, Pasquini's, Famous Pizza, etc.) and none compare with Big Bill's. It's not the cheapest, but it's certainly the best! more
