This was my second Audi purchase and first from Sonnen dealership, which turned out to be an excellent experience. We walked in on a busy day.. Sales manager Indy greeted us at the front reception. He spent his time to understand my needs and assured a hassle free buying experience. After talking to Indy we narrow down my preference/search to an A6 Premium Plus model. He was very upfront and honest with the price negotiation and ensured that the only variable remaining in the deal-making was my test drive and personal choice. He introduced us to an Audi specialist to test drive the A6. Leo was very knowledgeable, easy going and funny. Financing was also quick and easy. In the whole process everyone is calm, and never try to rush customer (me) into making a decision, which is a great attribute. Made an appointment to purchase a 2001 BMW 740il from sonnen VW. It must have been a trade in from another person. I live in Los Angeles which is about 450 miles from Sonnen so I wanted to make sure that the car was available before I made the trip. \r \r I spoke with the salesman Aythami Yanez and made an appointment for the following day. We spoke over the phone before I left the house and again once on the road. He asked what was my ETA, I told him and he told me to drive safe and he would see me when I arrived. \r \r Ten minutes before I arrived at the Dealership, Aythami called me and told me that the car just sold. \r \r $200 in fuel for the round trip and 16 hours of driving, 8 up and 8 back all wasted due to the unethical practices of this dealership, where they put making a buck over any care or consideration for their customers. \r \r It was a blow to me as I took the day off of work to buy this car. He could have put the car on hold for a few hours. Told the perspective buyer that he had someone driving 8 hours to purchase the car and it that person. Put yourself in my shoes. I even offered to leave a deposit a few days earlier and they said no, just get up here. \r \r Bad Business Sonnen. more

Service techs didn't tighten bolts correctly after installing a timing belt. Several months later bolts broke. When I took the car back to them they told me that impact damage had caused two bolts on the top side of my engine to brake. Car has never been in an accident and shows no signs of impact damage. Furthermore two bolts don't just brake by coincidence on your engine for no reason and nothing you could hit could cause no other damage, but by chance just brake two bolts. They told me I had a cracked block and needed a new engine. I got a second opinion from a very repeatable shop in Berkeley and they confirmed that my car shows no evidence of any impact damage and that the bolts that were broken were from a botched install when I got the timing belt changed previously. Sonnen quoted me 7,000 dollars to replace my engine. Shop in Berkeley fixed my car parts and labor out the door for 800 bucks. They are unwilling to work with me at all on a reimbursement on the botched timing belt install or on the 160 dollars I spent on a false diagnostic telling me I needed to replace my engine block for 7,000. Stay away. I've been a loyal customer of theirs for years, but will never do business with them again. I spoke with a manger there and he didn't care and disbuted me without even looking into the matter or having the facts in front of him. Eye on the bay and a lawyer will have to get there attention since they can't reimburse an honest loyal customer for there screw up and for giving extremely false information. more

Audicat probably works there. This place is a scam. I purchased a car from them and within 3 days it broke down. The car was a lemon and they lied about the car's history. The car was in an accident and they lied about it. The worst part was the person who fixed the car didn't even put the intercooler back onto the bracket. The manager Rod Helaire decided to insult me because his dealership makes, and I quote, ""40 million a year."" I guess its easy to make a lot of money when you rip people off! more

I really don't get these bad reviews??? My experience with Sonnen Motors has been outstanding. I have purchased two Audis and one VW here and had the best experience I have ever had, which is why I keep coming back. Very professional and well informed about the cars and the sales process. more
