Incredible. I had such a great experience here, and I wish I lived closer (I live in LA) that I could take advantage of this store more often. The lady in the store dropped everything right away to help me find what I needed; I'm a somewhat amateur knitter but an extremely experienced yarn-buyer (this part of the process, I find, is easier to master than all that business of tension and guage and sizing and stitches!). She had all kinds of suggestions for what I should look for for a 'guy' project, including advice of yarns not to use if he had a 'scruffy beard' because they could wear badly against it (it's a scarf, that I'm making). Their shop was magnificently organized; everything wound neatly on cones and sample knitting of all the yarn, not just a few, so I got to see how it looked worked up. Also, lots of silk yarn, which thrilled me because I love silk. There was a good selection, and I didn't feel like I was looking at the same old stuff. Not that the same old stuff is bad... but it's nice to know where I can go when I need something different.
