My friends have been telling me to stop by Snooky's for the last month or so. I guess it has new owners who changed out a lot of what was wrong with this Simi Valley landmark bar, and they claim it was 100% better. Well, I did check it out last night- first of all, it has changed A LOT since I had been there about 2 years ago- it now has flat plasma screens, a full bar (no more of that beer and wine which I don't drink), and really cute dancers. They no longer have a jukebox but a DJ who plays a pretty fiar mix of old school rock, R&B, and top 40 for the dancers to move to. The stage still has 2 poles and monkey bars, which the girls certainly used as intended. It was pretty packed and all 3 pool tables were taken so I think whatever the new owners are doing, people are responding. The bartenders were actually hotter than the dancers and were friendly and nice. I liked the layout of the patio where there is seating outside with tables and you can drink and smoke outside which I think is also new. The night I was there, I met the new owner- she is actually young and pretty hot herself, and was really friendly and social. I don't know if she herself was a dancer before but I got the vibe that she has a good feel for what this place needed all these years. I thought the place was dramatically different than what I remembered with the old owners, and did not seem shady and skanky like it did before. The crowd was mixed- there were some regulars at the bar, but the tables between the stage and bar had some couples and I also chatted up two cute single girls who were checking the place out as they were planning to throw a bachelorette party at the club. Anyway, I had a blast and even got a hookup going with the friend of the bride who sneaked me her number. Overally, I had a great time and highly recommend this place if you want to see hot girls dancing on stage while sipping on a cold one.
