I recently went in to allar to fill out an application since some one called to come in. After taking a hand written test then the wait was over 3 hours. till i finally got called in to i spoke to a female. quick interview she never called me for any update and then a month later she calls me saying she found my resume on careerbuilder!?! and i told her i already went in and filled out everything and spoke to you personally. I asked if there was any clerical positions open she ignored my question and she said she would call me back ""because"" she said she did not have any record of me coming in. SERIOUSLY!! what a F**ken waste of time!! NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO TO THIS STAFFING AGENCY. . there's many people out there are are serious about finding employment . i WOULD NOT REFER ANYONE TO THIS AGENCY. more

Well. what can I say...! I was referred to Alar by many people who had a great experience. As I walked in for the 1st time, I felt so welcomed! The receptionist was so nice and helpful though she didn't answer many questions I had.. she said I would speak to a recruiter. completed my appl. then waiting in a 2nd lobby to meet with a recruiter for an interview felt forever. finally time came and had an interview, wow could not explain how nice and respectful, polite, outgoing recruiter I met with. Best of all you can tell how genuine and sincere she was.. (can tell she LOVES helping others!) Well we finishe with interview and some paperwork and said she wuld process appl. and once she had an opportunity she will call me. I waited about 3 days and got a call finally I started working and since been very happy and greatful! thanks so much. Now I have been the one refering unemployed ppl. I have been working since the end fo Feb.(People please ask for Teresa she would be more than Happy to help! the others seemed nice too. I ve send several ppl to her and all have been hired by her to different companies and happy. except 1 he did not pass background, but thas his fault...) Pros: Great place..so helpful, if qualified. Many opportunities! Cons: Many many ppl applying. Long wait, but worth it!!! more

I responded to an ad for employment and right away I got a call back. I met with the lady had a great interview. Although their lobby is always full, it's okay becasue it is worth the wait. I was set up for an interview the next day and I got the job! This was the first place that called me back since I got laid off in October 09. If you are looking for work, it's worth it. Go see them! I applied at alar today n was jus about 2 start my paperwork to get hired when all of a sudden they told me my bg didnt check out. I was surprised but then i realized that a misd i was charged with bac n 05 did not get tooken off my record like it was suppose 2. The good part though is that i have paper work statin that the charge is really a infraction, so im takin my paperwork 2 sho them this. Hopefully they still have a spot open 4 me cuz i really need the job more

My friend referred me to Alar Staffing. They were very nice and asked me a lot of questions. They ran my background check after the interview and I had a job when I left their office. They didn’t hire my friend because she didn’t pass their interview or maybe it was the background check. I was a temp for about 8 months and then the company hired me on directly. Alar helped me find this job and I’m thankful because it’s a good job and I really like it here. more

This place is a huge waste of time. I was surprised how bad this place is. I went through the entire sign up process over three months ago and still have not had one single job offer from them. I went in person almost every day and nothing- they had me sit in the office for an hour just to tell me to keep checking in. They could have told me right away so I didn't have to sit there and waste my time. I asked them to call me if anything was available and they said they don't call people! I went next door to a company called Aerotech and started working the next day! Go anyplace but Alar. Talent Tree and Manpower are much better - so is Aerotech. If you are really looking for a job and not just a waste of time do not go to Alar. Pros: Location is next door to a real employment agency Cons: everything more
