Amazing dealership! 3/15/2012

I drove past not one, two, or three, but FOUR other Volkswagen dealerships to come to Capistrano VW. I was recommended there by a friend and I was not let down. Everyone there is very friendly, easy-going, and very easy to talk to. That goes for salesmen, finance managers, even the mechanics! James helped me finally buy my first new car ever and it couldn't have been easier. I've got my first scheduled maintenance appointment made already and I'll happily drive by those other dealerships again to see these smiling faces again. more

Awesome. 3/6/2012

I've been car shopping for months now and I randomly stopped by this dealership thinking I would check out the new VWs. I ended up getting an amazing car, the 2012 Jetta SE. Mad props to Steve Skinner for being informative, friendly, and genuinely proactive in setting me up with a ride. Drove off the lot within the hour happy as ever. Good work. more

Best dealership to buy from. 2/29/2012

Bought a new 2012 GTI. Capistrano VW had the best selection of cars compared to dealers in San Diego. Don Abadie was great to work with and made buying a car a pleasant experience. He and everyone else we encountered at Capo VW were all very friendly and were never pushy and aggressive like so many other dealers where they pounce on you the moment you arrive. Don told us that buying the car would be simple and he was right. Capo VW gave us a good price right from the start and there was no back and forth negotiating. I would highly recommend this dealer to anyone else interested in a Volkswagen. more

Best Car Buying Experience Ever ! 2/26/2012

We visited this dealer on 2/25/2012 after viewing a CPO we were interested in on line. We were greeted by Dave Hoke as soon as we entered the dealership. He was polite, professional and personable. While it was a busy Saturday, he treated us as if we were the only people there. We did not feel rushed for time, he offered us a beverage, he asked/listened to our needs. He took us right to the vehicle we were interested in. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and very excited about the VW brand. The atmosphere in this dealership was very conducive to buying a vehicle. All other employees we came in contact with (Service Advisor, F&I, Cashier) were all friendly and treated us well. We sincerely left there feeling like part of their family. The total experience was enjoyable and refreshing. We highly recommend Dave Hoke and this dealership. more

BEST SERVICE EVER 2/18/2012

I just purchased my second VW (2010 Golf and 2012 Jetta) and there are 2 BIG reasons why Capo VW is voted #1 in Southern California: April Dean and Eric Menzies. These two individuals ROCK!! The most easy going and honest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting at a car dealership. They both made my experience fast, easy, and stress free.\r \r ~ Saul more

The WORST car service experience ever. 1/24/2009

I had a terrible experience here. I dropped off my jetta for a new instrument cluster, and when I got it back, it had 112,000 miles on it, not my original 69,000. I had to drop the car off again, and got it back with 113,000 miles on it. Then, because someone wrote the wrong mileage when it was initally dropped off, I had to produce E-Z-Lube documents proving my mileage, like I was trying to swindle them!! Then, the service man said that due to legality issues, they could put it at 73,000 miles or reset the whole thing and include an ""unknown mileage"" sticker, which is basically a sticker saying ""my car is impossible to sell"". That was his suggestion? Pay $900 dollars and get totally ruined? Are they running a chop-shop? Honestly. Finally, the service guy (Mike O'Connor) checked the computer in the original cluster, a length to which he was too lazy to go before, and discovered my true mileage. So, I made six extra trips to the dealership, had to convince him I deserved a free rental car as I was being heinously inconvienced, make tons of calls and completely go out of my way. It was horrible. Don't go here. INCOMPETENT!!!!!!! more
