Don't Buy Furniture Here!! 5/19/2012

Don't Order Furniture Here!! We ordered a crib and dresser what we thought was far enough in advance. The salesperson told us we would have it in 10-12 weeks. They were nice when they collected our money but when we called to check the status they always had an attitude. We kept on getting the run around and excuses. Finally we got the furniture in the 15th week. The quality of the Romina furniture is great but not worth the wait. This has been a very frustrating experience. Great Product, Great Employees 7/14/2011

The quality of their service & their customer service was great. I will definitely go back and recommend it to my friends and family. I walked in looking for a coffee table and left two matching lamps that I sooo love more

What a fabulous place to shop! 1/18/2011

I am completely surprised by the bad reviews as I have been shopping here for years and the service is exceptional. You cannot go to Toys R Us and expect the staff to give personal advice and suggestions on what items work best for me. The Juvenile Shop offered suggestions on items I had no idea existed. They knew every brand model and option available on car seats and furniture. They also offered custom order suggestions when I could not find exactly the look I wanted. Amazing store! more

DO NOT REGISTER HERE!!!! 5/17/2010

I registered at Juvenile Shop, and it was a terrible mistake. Anna was my consultant for the registry, and I should have known not to register with them when she pushed all the expensive items. I not only registered with them, but also purchased some expensive furniture there myself. Overall, including my registry, I must have spent at least $7,000. Spending that amount in this economy, I stupidly believed that I would get great customer service. I was incorrect. I tried calling Anna a couple times to adjust something on my registry (you can't adjust the regsitry yourself online, like at Babies R Us), and I was always told that she was on the phone. So I would leave my name and phone number, expecting a call back, and she would NEVER call me back. I ordered a dresser/changing table early-March, and I still have not received it. My mother-in-law called the store to find out when it would be delivered, and they said it should arrive around May 15th. I called today (May 17th), and they said it might take another 2-3 weeks. By the way, I'm due in 3 weeks. They have no remorse nor do they go the extra mile to even try to contact me when they knew I was expecting it to arrive this weekend. I also registered at Babies R Us for my smaller items. They were FANTASTIC! Very helpful in the store (Calabasas location). And you can go online yourself to add or delete things from your registry. So you are in full control! Cons: TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, expensive more

Rude Staff, Not A Place I would Spend My Money 4/27/2009

Nope, Not a very Nice store When looking for a certain stroller was told on the phone that they carry the stroller but when I arrived to the store no one had any clue of what I was talking about And no one felt it was necessary to apologize to me for driving such a long way for nothing Not a friendly atmosphere more

Juvenile Shop is a Truly Unique Baby Boutique 1/8/2009

This baby boutique is truly unique. They have excellent sales people and are there to help every step of the way. I was able to test out strollers to find the one to fit my lifestyle. They have high-end furniture, bedding and clothing that you won't find anywhere else. This is a one-stop shop to get everything you need for the nursery of your dreams. more

Seriously, the absolute worst customer service 7/26/2008

Why are these people working here? I am truly amazed at the lack of customer service here. Not only could everyone in the store care less, but they are incredibly rude. I had asked if they carried a certain crib sheet and they could barely bring themselves to look up to answer my question. All of the staff seems annoyed to be there and annoyed by customers in general. This wasn't just with me, this was also with other customers in the store. I don't understand how this place is still in business. For their prices, you would think they could at least maybe, fake a smile? Say thank you? How about looking you in the eye when you're speaking to them. This is all too much for the people who work at this place. Please don't support this store, when there are sooo many other great stores in the area. Pros: Location Cons: Extremely rude staff, fairly expensive, terrible atmosphere more

Rude, irresponsible, worst store I have EVER experienced 5/1/2008

I expected more from this store. They lost my package, acted like it was MY fault. I asked them for the tracking number, they said ""we don't do that"". They didn't contact me when I asked if they could try and find my purchase. They had promised to contact me, but failed to do so. I had to call them back but by that time they had made decisions without my knowledge that I did not agree with. They never took responsibility, and they were pretty rude though out this entire process. Pros: nice merchandise Cons: Overpriced, rude, irresponsible. They lost my order and did not call me back. more

Horrible Customer Service 2/18/2008

I went here looking for a Fisher Price Bassinet. Little did I know that this overly-priced store doesn't carry Fisher Price because its ""cheap"" & made in China as the sales associate told me. ""They only carry European brands."" I could not believe how truly rude she was when I was still talking to her & she had already walked away. I guess she realized she wasn't going to make a sale with someone who buys ""cheap"" baby products!!! I will NEVER go there again or reccommend going there, no matter how nice their products are! more

This store is terrible for customer service-shop elsewhere. 3/12/2007

This is a high-end store that charges a premium and you get nothing in return. Lisa is the only pleasant/competent person in the shop, but it is hard to get to her because she is busy. I purchased more than $5000 worth of furniture(and other items) from this store, and I cannot tell you how rude the staff was to me. Particularly, the other older woman running the store is so not afraid to be rude and unhelpful all the while knowing how much money you are spending. When I called to find out when my furniture could be delivered, she basically refused to help me and said it would take more than a day to find out because she needed to help people in the store. Funny, when I was in the store, it was likewise hard to get any help from that same woman. She did not want to let me talk to the owner who I always tried to deal with because she at least had some sense of civilized behavior. The staff is so not afraid to be lazy and rude to customers that have spent huge amounts of money in that store. Why bother with this store-you can over-spend on nice stuff elsewhere and get better customer service, or at the very least have a pleasant experience. Who needs to be treated like that when you are pregnant of all times! Pros: High end furniture/goods Cons: Goods are charged at premium, Rude, lazy staff-among the worst customer service I have ever encountered. more

High Prices/Low Customer Service 8/6/2006

I visited this store for the first time to buy a baby shower gift from a friend's registry. When I arrived, I literally had to climb over clutter (boxes, overflowing displays, general mess) to get to the service desk to ask for assistance on the registry. When I walked up to the counter, the woman standing there doing paperwork & CHOMPING gum, completely ignored me. Finally a woman from behind her helped me with the registry - which took forever as they don't seem to be computerized. (Later she wrote down what I bought on a piece of paper.) I took her up on the offer to gift wrap ($6) & asked her to put a little stuffed elephant on top. When she gave me the wrapped package there was no elephant. Luckily I noticed & she went back & put it on. But the worst thing was that at the shower, my friend opened her gift & there was the price tag right on the front!!! I will NEVER shop there again. Pros: ??? Cons: Messy, high prices, bad service more

Okay products, high prices, bad service. 10/15/2003

Considering the amounts of money that this store is asking parents to be to spend on baby items (the price of the furniture and accessories here is higher than the norm for the same brands elsewhere) the shop itself isn't well laid out, doesn't have pricing on every item, and when we visited, it had cardboard boxes and plastic bags littering the floor. The customer service was absolutely atrocious and the atmosphere was terrible. Exactly what I'm *not* looking for when I'm going out to buy for my baby. Better look elsewhere. Even the hellish Babiesrus is more fun than this place. Pros: lots on display Cons: unhelpful staff, disorganised, bad atmosphere more

Great selection for cribs and furniture 6/10/2002

I bought a crib, dresser, shelves and a rocker here for my firstborn. I really liked the store's selection and the staff was helpful. It did take about 7 weeks for the furniture to arrive however, so order early. The prices are in the higher medium range - but the quality is very good. Cons: closed on Sundays more
