Tender Glow

My man and I walked into this bar 5 years ago when at the time all of our bar hoping had been in Hollywood. I used to promoted local bands at The Roxy, The Hard Rock and other places so we were pretty used to the hustle of barlife. When we walked into the ""Hole in The Wall bar"" it reminded us both of when our parents used to attend bars with us young children and sit us in the booths with crayons and paper. Not that that can be done now, but you get the atmosphere....Day and night crowd at the ""GLOW"" are just that DAY - AND - NIGHT...The crowd from days do stumble into the night time and you have your remarkable seniors outlasting the youngins after midnight such as Barney and Cheif. Did ""whyjudywhy"" mention that there was also a fairly good pizza joint next door that would bring food? I went to Tender Glow based on the one review. I was not disappointed. Inexpensive drinks, Mike is indeed friendly and efficient. A great neighborhood bar that I wish were in my neighborhood! The swinging door was a nice touch. The door and the booths are padded with red vinyl which give a nice throwback feel to the place. Clean. I consider myself a dive bar connoisseur. Yes, that is an oxymoron and yes, I meant it as such. What isn't there to like about the TG? The best bartender (Mike), the best red pleather interior (with saloon style entry), the best strip mall locale, the best ""regulars"", the best jukebox. Really, just take my word for it and go.
