Been renting from Lido since 2008. Maintenance issues are promptly addressed by professionals; all I have to do is fill out a web form, and I get a response the next day. If it's something urgent, such as a broken window in wintertime, I get a call to my cell phone the same day. My particular building in Palms gets free electricity and gas, so love that. We have a dog, and we pay some extra rent for him, but we are cool with that because the dogs here generally take a little toll on the property and on the ambience (also it was hard for us to find a reasonable place to rent that was dog-friendly). Location can't be beat given my job and school proximities plus proximity to Culver City Metro train stops. more

I currently live in a Lido Apartments. Great staff, anything that I want fixed gets set up by appt. right away through their website in just a click of a button. I even experienced transferring from a 1 bd to a 2 bd since my sister moved in w/ me from Orange County & everything was handled in a fast & efficient way. I enjoy meeting the staff every 1st week of the month not only because they are friendly but they also offer yummy assorted candies. I have a sweet tooth! I highly recommend renting from Lido Equities Management, Inc. :) more

I have lived in a Lido Equities managed property for over 4 years. Nice people, clean building and a tight run operation. Don't expect discounts, late rent adjustments or attention to menial matters. If you have a real matter that needs attention, they are on it! If you pay your rent after the 5th of the month, expect a late fee! So what, that is good business. This is no cheap discount company, they run expensive well located buildings and they treat me fairly. I work hard and dont expect ""something for nothing"".\r So if you are looking for a ""discount"" type building or company, keep looking... These guys are professional and serious business people.. I respect that and appreciate it!\r All my best! more

I've been living in Lido apartments for 3/26/2013

I've been living in Lido apartments for over 6 years. I've lived at two different locations (Rose Ave and Manchester Ave) and both properties are well maintained and access to maintenance when needed (though rare) is extremely easy (via the Internet) and their response time is quick and efficient. Lido Equities is a company that I would highly recommend. more

Have been renting a Lido apartment for many years now. I find the apartment itself very spacious and I love having my own washing machine/dryer in my unit. I have always found the maintenance group to be fast and efficient. The up-keep of the building is great. Just pay your rent and enjoy living. I have had nothing but pleasant experiences with the staff. more

Awful! BEDBUGS! 10/28/2011

Rented a Palms apt from them, it is riddled with bedbugs, nothing gets rid of them. Also they will charge you with hidden fees every time you turn your back. Hidden fees for pets, unpaid rent notices about random 2.95 fee on top of your rent, another ten dollar fee on top of that once a year just because. And they will try to blame the bedbugs on the tenant and charge you $800 dollars for the (ineffective) treatment without informing you before-hand. The absolute worst, shadiest, shoddiest place I have ever lived. more

Don't Rent From Them! 5/13/2010

Sure, they helped me sign the lease quickly, so that they could get paid! About a month after I had moved in and signed the lease to my new aparmtnet, I was mailed an Annual Rental Surcharge Notice of Change of Terms of Tenancy. It listed the following additional fees: 1) Rent Control Registration Fee - $9.35, ""provided that the LANDLORD is not DELINQUENT in the payment of the registration or annual registration renewal fee and has served a copy of a valid registration or annual registration renewal statement on the tenant of that rental unit."" (Los Angeles Housing Dept.) 2) Systematic Code Enforcement fee - $2.96/month. What's the point of having a code enforcement fee when everyone in the building knows the code to get in without using their key? Some tennants tell other's the code and it makes the building easily accessible and even more unsafe than it already is. *They also charge a common pet-rent fee of $25/month. Pros: Able to sign lease quickly Cons: They charge ridiculous monthly fees in addition to rent more

Fast and efficient 3/12/2010

Lido Management makes finding an apartment and ultimately leasing it, very simple! i found a place in the morning and before noon, i had the keys! They are fast movers in the office, so if you like to dilly dally around and take hours with questions, this is not your company. they deal with tenants who are busy and want to take the hassle out of the apartment search. once i moved in, the service was good and they have 24 hour emergency service! their staff is courteous but very busy. i found emailing them is fantastic. works for me! one more thing! if you want to upgrade your apartment or downsize in price or size, they will move you at a moments notice. They have 70+ buildings! WOW! Pros: i leased a place in 30 minutes! Cons: i wish i could buy a home more

Great! 3/2/2010

I dont know why all these people keep putting down Lido, the place is great and I've loved my apartment. The service is great, and lido is busy so you cant be mad if they dont drop everything they are doing when you call. Leasing from Lido, is the smartest move i've made in a while! Pros: the apartments are awesome, great location and prices Cons: nothing more

Roach and Bed Bug Infested 2/12/2010

Lived there until my lease was up...It was purely disgusting....way too many roaches in my apartment and the building had issues with bed bugs. We had someone come in every month to spray but it didn't do a single thing. Eventually, they tented the place and just put us all out on the streets - however, they did credit my account only $30/day for the week we were sent out. It sucked because that doesn't even cover a Motel 6. And I'm sure Motel 6 is such a step up. I had to put up with 10 kids screaming in a one bedroom apartment, that was across the way. And the street vendors shouting at each meal time the things they were selling. I thought I was in Mexico. And the music ranging from ranchero to a guy singing with his acorrdian.... Pros: close to UCLA Cons: loud noise, bug problems, management more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS 2/7/2010

we have lived in a lido property for over a year and a half and have avoided any contact with them whatsoever. it is awful having to deal with them. Pros: none, these people are rude and inconsiderate Cons: rude and inconsiderate, no respect for their clients more

Extremely rude, unprofessional office staff and receptionists. 2/17/2009

Get ready to deal with some ugly attitude--whether over the phone or in person! The worst part is de*ling with persons who seem to hate their job as receptionists and/or have very poor sense of professionalism, human courtesy and respect. Also, beware that lease prices often go way up right after your 1-yr term ends. If you must rent, talk to current tenants. Pros: Location Cons: Staff extremely rude no matter the situation more

poor customer service 7/24/2008

This property mangement company is rude! They are disrganized, unprofessional, and impossible to get a response out of! Last year I had a bad experience with them where they lost my credit check and my financial papers after denying my application, but I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt this time around...MISTAKE! I faxed in my application three days ago and have called 4 times just to confirm receipt of the fax. I just wanted to make sure they received my fax and three days later no one has even called back. They charge more than anyone else I've found for a credit check ($37 per person!) and they can't even give you the decency to call back? I can't even imagine how awful it would be to be a tenent of theirs with a pressing problem! How rude! more

No response in two weeks! 6/27/2006

I applied for an apartment, was denied, and was not given a reason why. When I turned in the application, I was told that Lido would call with an explaination if I was denied. Two weeks, and over ten phone calls and messages later, I still have not recieved a response. I have since applied for a much nicer apartment and was approved almost immediately. Lido is very porrly managed! I should have at least been able to get a reason why my application was denied. Cons: Not only do they not return phone calls, you can never speak with anyone but the receptionist who has no knowlege about anything regarding their business. more
