the korean scrubdown here is awesome. you emerge supersoft and completely renewed, head to toe. the thick, fresh cucumber mask feels amazing, and they wash your hair.

I HAVE BRUISES ALL OVER MY LEGS! 7/4/2009

I went to this Korean spa for what I hoped would be a relaxing afternoon with a friend on my birthday. What I got instead was an $80-plus-tip ""body scrub and massage"" in which the attendant I was assigned was so harsh that now, the following day, I am terribly bruised! I have purple and green bruises on my right arm and both legs. And the bruises on my legs are each more than an inch wide and stretch about seven inches along the outsides of both of my thighs! These women use a large brillo-like pad on your bare skin and scrub with all their might for 30 minutes, going deep into every crevice. Then they do another half-hour of very deep-tissue massage which feels like wood being rubbed hard along your shoulders, spine and the bones of the legs and thighs. This is anything but relaxing and I had to do deep breathing just to get through the treatment. Shockingly, they never asked about my likes/dislikes/concerns or any injuries I might and I hate to think of what this treatment would be like for someone who's not as sturdy as I am! You're basically treated like a random slab of meat being tossed and turned abruptly on a wet massage table. On top of that, what was supposed to be a 70-minute scrub and massage was barely an hour and when the attendant was done with me, she simply pulled me up and pushed me off the table with no time to re-adjust after having just been scrubbed and stretched every which way for an hour. My friend was similarly mortified at how sore and uncomfortable she felt after her scrub. When I'd made our appointments a few days ago, I'd mentioned specifically that I wanted a ""gentle"" attendant because I know they often overdo it, and the woman at the other end of the line was very flippant about my concerns. Afterwards, when I complained about the harshness of the scrub and ""massage,"" the front-desk attendant was completely unapologetic. Still, I left the attendant a decent tip, but had I known I'd wake up the next day sore and covered in bruises, I wouldn't have bothered. I am extremely disappointed, especially by the blatant lack of customer service and I will not return. Pros: Relatively clean Cons: TERRIBLE Customer Service... more

THE BEST 4/13/2007

Keep in mind this is a Korean Spa, not at all like Burke Williams. If you are familiar with Korean Spas and love them as much as I do, you will love this place! I didn't think I was going to like any spa as much as Olympic Spa but I do like this one better. I was here for 4 hours and the amenities are just fantastic. There are 3 different types of saunas and a eucalyptus steam room. Mugwort bath, cold pool, hot-tub, relaxation room, a little cafe. I will make this one of my regular spas for sure. I can't speak for their treatments at Natura because I haven't had one yet, the website really needs to give a more solid description of their menu. I feel kind of clueless when I look at it. As far as getting a day pass and just using the amenities goes......Natura is definately the best Korean Spa in LA in my opinion and I have been to them all. Pros: Amenities and Location Cons: NONE! more
