Granted, the place is tiny, but the food and prices are great! Unless they're busy - which is most of the time since the food is that tasty - they are pretty quick with their take out orders. The family who owns Hong Kong Chef is Cantonese Chinese, but the dishes range from hot & spicy (Northern/Mandarin) to mild & fried (Southern/Cantonese), so that everyone can enjoy their pick of dishes. Among the favorites are the Orange Chicken, the Hot & Sour soup, the Wonton Soup, Beef with Broccoli, Clams with Black Bean Sauce, and the Mongolian Beef. You should check out the Family Dinner Specials too that are featured on the back of the Dine-In menu and the To Go menu. These are perfect for sampling Hong Kong Chef's cooking. And for dessert if you dine in, you usually get not only the traditional fortune cookies, but orange slices. In Chinese tradition this is a way of wishing luck to the recipient of the orange and Hong Kong Chef's way of thanking you for your patronage. Isn't that sweet?!? They only accept cash, so leave the credit cards at home. And if you do order take out, order some of the Hot Appetizers - there is nothing like munching on an egg roll or their fried wontons on your way home back from picking up your dinner! Yum-o!
