This place is horrible. Any 5 star reviews are from friends and family of the shop owners and employees. I have had Bikes my whole life and have never had such bad experiences. Repairs with wrong parts - no help fixing issue 3/15/2011

I brought my bike in for repairs after a minor accident, as I had some work done from Cycle Depot in the past that I was happy with. The first indication that should have given me red flags was the estimate, which was so high they told me the bike would likely be totaled from my insurance co. They recommended that I have some items not included under my claim so that the bike could be fixed. When I say a minor accident, I mean a less than 30mph incident and no objects or other vehicles involved. It was basic cosmetics on bike which only has partial fairings to begin with, and was mechanically sound given that not only I had ridden the bike there, but several other very good riders had been on it since. I said to fix everything, otherwise there was no point in making the claim. My insurance covered all the expenses, and sent them a check. I had asked for estimates to make some part changes on items they were repairing and never heard back. I finally called to check about it, and they said the bike was ready. Okay, so all OEM, I guess that's ok. When I picked the bike up, they had replaced the exhaust with another model. Same brand but wrong kind of material (aluminum vs titanium). The main service tech was out of town, and the rest shrugged their shoulders, and then made up a story that the pipes were custom manufactured for my bike. I had no choice but to take the bike with me, as I had flown in from out of town. When calling later to try and straighten the situation out, as I NEVER wanted aluminum pipes on my bike, I was blamed for the error in service. Even though no one ever called rectify the situation before putting on the wrong equipment. When they finally decided that they should fix the issue, they were to send my old pipes back so that we could return the incorrect set and find a replacement. Never happened, and they have not Reached me for a solution. These guys will scam you or your insurance with high priced repairs, treat you badly and act as though it's your fault when things are fixed incorrectly. Do not go here, and save time, money and self-respect. I'm getting my insurance co. Involved as well as the BBB. more

Poor Business Practices 2/16/2008

About two weeks ahead of time, I made an appointment to have my bike serviced on 2/16/08 at Cycle Depot. On 2/16/08 I went to the shop to find it closed with a sign saying ""sorry"" but that they decided to close for the long weekend. No prior notice. No call asking me to reschedule. In short, no consideration for their customers. I have two friends that get their bikes serviced there, or I should say ""used to get their bikes serviced there"", because after I told them about the above, they decided that they won't be using that shop anymore. I will surely be telling anyone who asks me for a referral for a motorcycle repair shop about my experience and obviously will not be recommending Cycle Depot because of the inconsiderate way I was treated. This is a patent example of poor business practices. more
