I had shopped here for some years and was always pleased with the quality of the plants and flowers. Friday, I placed a telephone order for an orchid to be delivered to a friend in the hospital recovering from surgery. Since it was after noon, I was told if it could not be delivered that day, it would be first thing in the morning. I called at noon the next day and was told the orchid had not yet been delivered, and that someone was out picking it up. When I got upset, instead of offering an apology, I was treated rudely. An hour and a half later, after calling numerous times, the owner finally answered the phone and told me it would be delivered within 20 minutes. I asked to be called when it was delivered. An hour later I called back, and he told me my friend had been discharged from the hospital. He then said that it could not be delivered until later that evening. When I explained that one of the reasons I was so upset is that an apology was never offered, he replied, ""Would that have helped?"" I canceled the order. He then called me back and asked me ""to come to the store to deal with this face to face"". A police report will be filed.
