Intrigued! 2/16/2012

I am always astonished to read reviews about this place that start off with them only accepting "gently used" clothing. That is crap!!!!! You can go into any Plato's Closet location and there are nothing but racks upon racks of faded hoodies and t-shirts and I could go on and on. I rarely find anything at this place. It usually smells of cat piss anyway. It amazes me how they can buy that faded out stuff from people, but won't buy nice newer shirts I bring to them like from the Gap and J Crew. I only go once in a while anyway to look at the jeans. I have only ever bought one pair in my three years of going to the store. I would like to say to the buyers of Plato's Closet....purchase newer looking items like your slogan reads! more

Seller Beware!!!!! 8/4/2009

The money doesn't flow like they claim, they didn't want brand new name brand clothing I brought in. Then they threw my clothes in a thin, RIPPED garbage bag- not the Victoria's Secret bag I brought in. When I got home I noticed some clothing missing....hmmmmm more

A Great Concept and Deals Can Be Found 10/17/2005

The first time I visited Platos Closet, I wasn't overly impressed. I had to search a long time to find something worth the price they were asking. But, with local teens coming in on a daily basis selling their clothes...the merchandise is always changing and eventually you can find some really cool things. The only thing that seperates this from Goodwill is the price tag. I did score a pair of $80 Banana Republic Jeans once that looked brand new for $15. At a garage sale they would have cost $1 and at a Thrift Store they would have cost $3. The advantage Plato's closet has is you don't have to spend an hour sorting through crap due to them only accepting and selling Name Brand Clothing. more

Get your Teen's clothes here 9/6/2005

This is a resell store for teenagers and young twenties. You can buy or resell name brand clothing. They offer popular brand names and the newest style trends. You can get the brand name at half the price. They will not take items unless they were gently used which means you will find items next to new at much better prices and nicer than what you would find at a garage sale.  more

Great for teens! 8/29/2005

This store has so much stuff! It is a resale shop, so the stuff is gently used, but they seem to be very particular about what they take so you get a high quality selection at really good prices. This was such a great idea because teens are so brand concious but they have little money, so this fits the bill perfectly for both teens and their parents. I would recommend definitely checking this place out! more

Teen Resell 8/5/2005

This is an idea who's time has come. This is a teen resell shop for those teens who desire the name brands, but who's wallet can't satisfy the mall prices. The selection is very good and the prices quite reasonable. The store has always looked well-stock and organized. I would recommend this store. more

Teen and Adult Resale 8/1/2005

My teenage son buys his expensive name brand clothing here for less. I know he likes what he finds and the prices are great for teenagers. They only take nice used clothing so you will always find nice clothing when you are shopping. They give you a good price on your clothing when you are selling them back also. more

not the best quality at high prices 7/28/2005

this is one of thoes super trendy resale shops geared to the younger set. They offer many of the high end brands (used of course), but fail to price the items as used. In my opinion many of the items are way over priced. Maybe still at 75% of what they would cost new. Not a good value. more

Resale Shop 7/21/2005

This is a popular teenager resale shop that carry name brand used clothing in good shape. They only allow you to bring in name brand clothing on consignment as well. I would rather pay for something new as some of the things are a bit pricey but when it comes to name brand teens will pay whether its used or not in fact the more used it is the better. more

Slightly worn clothes! 7/21/2005

I like the fact that all the clothes in this store are nice name brand clothes, but the price the already used clothes at prices you can find in large department stores. If you have a over stuffed closet and want to get ride of them but would like to use the cost of those clothes on something else that i would suggest you take them there so you can get something for them but just be careful not to get ripped off. more
