Didn't want to give the one star, but I don't think I have an option. Anyone who gives the place 5 stars has not been to any of the other Mazes in the area.

Fun on the Farm 10/31/2010

Phillips Farms is a wonderful place to go and very friendly and great overall. I loved all of the halloween decorations and they were all great for taking pictures with the ones by the maize and the ones at the concessions. The staff at the farm is wonderful all so friendly and willing to make sure there customers have a great time while there. The owner was great he was out walking around talking with the customers and making sure they were enjoying themselves which it is not hard to do at Phillips Farms. I will deffinetly tell all my friends and family about this place because I think it is so wonderful and outgoing place to be at. The hayride and cowtrain are great I just loved them. This is one great place. If you are looking for a fun family day deffinetly go to Phillips Farms you will have a blast and all ages enjoy it as well. Overall a GREAT PLACE TO BE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

fun for the whole family! 10/15/2010

My husband and I took our 6 children ages 20 months to 14 years and ALL had a blast! My oldest was skeptical at first but was finally lured by the cow train! It was tons of fun and thrilling ( and not just for the weak at heart!). The staff was super friendly and accomodating. Our family will be returning for more Fall fun this year and in those to come! more

FANTASTIC and FUN 10/12/2010

This place is fabulous! I have been twice, once with adults for a night maze and once with children during the day. There are lots of fun activities to keep people of all ages engaged! We had a blast with Mr. Jerry riding the cow train and the ""Hilbilly Lem-o-zine!"" I highly reccomend Phillips Farm and Cornmaze to people of all ages looking for something fun and family friendly!! more

FANTASTIC!!! KIDS LOVED IT! 10/11/2010

I have three kids spanning ages 2 -12. All three had a fantastic day. There is tons to do and you can just let them run and have fun. Great exercise, fresh air and fall fun you just can't get except on a farm. My boys loved the pumpkin and corn cannons and ran from one thing to the next all afternoon. An inexpensive, easy and carefree day that family time should be all about. We are going back again next weekend. more

Great afternoon at Phillips Farms Corn Maze 10/9/2010

Took my daughter there for her 10th birthday with 4 other friends. They were all smiles, all day. They loved the tube that you crawl through or stand and swing on. Their favorite part of the day was the cow-cart tractor ride. I asked the driver (was that you Phillip??) if he could give my daughter and her friends a special ride around the farm and he said ""absolutely"". What a great day. We will be back. more

Awesome Fun! 10/8/2010

What a great time we had here. My kids did not want to leave. Compared to other corn maizes this one had the most bang for the buck! Water duck races, maize, cow train( it actually went fast!) tube swing, hay hill, corn shooter,... just to name a few. The BBQ was the bomb too!! They had something for all ages. We will definately be back. :) more

Absolutely Wonderful!!! 10/4/2010

I took a group of teens/pre-teens to the Phillips Farm yesterday and they didn't want to leave! We split up into four teams and competed to see who finish the maze first, shot softballs and ears of corn out of air cannons at an old car and other targets, had the ride of our lives on the cow train, played King of the (hay) Mountain, and more. more

The Best! 10/1/2010

Imagine some good old fashion Mayberry fun. Don't worry, the Wii generation will enjoy it! In fact, my sons are still talking about how much fun they had getting their hands dirty: climbing up piles of hay, playing in hills of corn, sliding down the play set, watching the big snapping turtle, eating homemade banana bread, and riding the ""country limo"" (the hayride""). The owner engaged the children with humor and compassion, keeping them entertained. Even after 3 1/2 hours, my children, 8 and 4 yrs old, did not want to leave. And neither will yours. The Phillips Farm has been a mainstay for over 100 years for a reason. Be part of the legend: shoot a corn cob, launch a pumpkin, and have a laugh. You will not regret a minute, an hour, or the day. more

A day of fun and excitement for the kids!! 9/30/2010

We had a great time at the farm. The kids didn't want to leave. The corn maze was a blast. It was challenging but we had fun working together to figure out how to get to the end. After that we spent 3 hours just going from one activity to the other: the slide, the tube swing, rubber duck races, bounce house, the clever and unique tic tac toe game, shooting the pumpkin and corn cannons, the corn box and hay mountain, the cow train (the kids favorite) and the educational hay ride. The owner was super friendly and very nice to the kids. You don't have to drive far to have a great time spending the day with the family. The one con is the price for the adult admission. Most of my time was spent just sitting at the covered picnic tables watching the kids have a BLAST. But I'd still go back b/c it was well worth it for a day of entertainment for the kids. They enjoyed themselves tremendously. We are looking forward to the spring when we can pick strawberries!! Thank you, Phillips Farms!! more

An hour out of my day I will never get back 9/19/2010

The mailer I received looked to provide a lot of fun for the kids. I think the $10 charge for adults is a bit ridiculous, as you pretty much just walk around with your kids. The girls working as staff were always up and moving whenever they saw customers walking toward the corn maze. The young boys they had working the corn shoot and pumpkin cannon were about as worthless as you can get. They only let the kids shoot one or two times. The reason became clear when the owner of the farm came hollering at them about kids being out there picking up corn and possibly getting shot at and seriously hurt. I'm sure she could see the dollar signs from a lawsuit(provided they are insured for this kind of thing). Bottom line...I spent $22 to gain admission for myself and two children so they could go down a slide, shoot a few ears of corn, jump on some hay bales, ride a cow train and get lost in a corn maze. more

MUST GO! 9/16/2010

It's a GREAT place to hang out during Spring and Fall. Nothing better than pick up strawberries and have fun trying to find the way out in the corn maze! My little one loved to place in the corn box, jump in the bounce ""castle maze"", the duck race and the hayride. I can't wait to go back and have some fun with the pumpkin luncher and get lost in the corn maze. more

Phillips Corn Maize 9/6/2010

I can not say how much we loved the Phillips Corn Maize!! It has a convenient location just off highway 55 between Apex and Durham. It had activities for all ages. The dads and older kids will like the corn cannon and pumpkin launchers. The younger kids will want to stay all day. My 3 year old boy stayed 6 hours and still didn't want to leave! There is a variety of activities that can catch any childs attention. They have concessions that are very reasonably priced. It is an outdoor event but there is plenty of shaded seating to take a break or nurse for new moms and there are two activities in a barn. The corn(sand)box is definetly a huge hit with children of all ages! Don't forget the main attraction the maize! This was by far one of the best local outings we have experienced! Too many fun things to name so check it out! Perfect for anyone! more

A great spot for family fun! 9/6/2010

This is our second year at Phillips Farm and like last year, our kids had a BLAST! The new attractions this year were the softball ""rocket "" (fun for adults!), ""special"" tic tac toe game (you got to see it I don't want to give away the surprise!) and the big swing. Both kids enjoyed the corn ""sandbox"" (which is shaded with lots of seating room for parents), the bounce house, slides, and the duck race. The staff is AWESOME- very friendly and accommodating! The hayride, cow train, and the mazes were fun too. Cost is $10 for adults- but there are coupons avl via valupak. Kids are $6. It's a day pass, so you can visit, go home if you were local, and come back for more fun. We plan to go back soon! A great time was had by all! : ) more

great time for the kids! 9/5/2010

We have 2 kids, 7 and 4 yrs old, and they both loved all the activities. Our 7 yr old son's (and husband's) favorites were the corn cannon and the pumpkin shooter. They had an old car and some hay bale targets to shoot for! My four year old daughter loved the bounce house, big swing, corn ""sandbox"", and the big slide. The whole family loved the duck races, and hay ride. The kids had a great time on the cow train ride. I appreciated that the kids were playing outside all day without complaint! They had places with shade so I didn't feel like we were baking in the sun the whole day. I also liked that we were able to leave for a couple hours and be readmitted later on in the day without paying an extra fee. The owners/workers were all super nice, it almost felt like a big family party at times since everyone was so friendly! We will definately be back again this season! more

Awesome group or family activity 11/5/2009

I took a group to the corn maze and everyone loved it. Besides the fun of the maze itself, there are lots of other things to do for kids and adults. The girls loved the giant slide, hay rides, and the corn box (think sand box filled with corn). We all liked taking target practice with the corn shooter. Ahhhh..... the fun that you can have shooting corn cobs with pressurized air. The hay rides were very educational and the hosts could not be any nicer. Just a great experience and great people running it. Pros: More than just a corn maze, lots to do more
