I work on the computer all day, and as a result, I often hold a lot of tension in my neck, shoulders, and back. A good massage is the best form of relief for me. It needs to be deep, and the practitioner needs to have a good anatomical awareness of how all the muscles are connected. I've tried a dozen massage therapists over the years, and it was hard to find someone who was REALLY good. I finally found one: Janice! She has that magic touch: she can coax a muscle into letting go, and then she works out the tension in all the surrounding muscles so it doesn't tighten back up again.
I'm a big guy and I like a deep massage; sometimes my back muscles are so tight they feel like steel cables. Janice is very strong and has no problems going deep when I need it. But she's good at calibrating pressure, has a very gentle touch, and is a good communicator, so it's never too much.
And then when the aches and pains are gone, be sure to leave a few minutes for... the best foot massage in seattle!
Pros: superb massage, reasonable prices, comfortable ambiance, good listener
