I do not recommend the Security Lofts. While there are minor perks, the cons far outweigh the benefits. The leasing tour puts on a good show, but once you sign the lease, watch out! The manager and leasing agents are unprofessional, untrained,and incompetent. Agent did poor job of explaining leasing terms and did not know how to do a walk-through. Staff acted passive-aggressively when we gave them a poor evaluation. We've had leaks in our loft 4 times in the past 9 months. Our neighbors have had similar leaks. Maintenance is understaffed. There was a 2X2 hole in our bathroom which took 4 months to get fixed. Hallways and elevators are frequently dirty. The loft with windows closed is so entirely noisy. Sirens, trash trucks, car horns, people talking! Don't expect to sleep past 7am on the weekends and 6 on the weekdays. Noise all through the night from people coming out of bars, even on weekdays. During Artwalk, parking and driving in the area is a nightmare. It gets especially noisy with several bands going on the street at once and tons of drunk people. Tenants leave dog pee and poo in hallway. Owners do not pick up dog poo near parking structure-terrible stench and watch where you walk on trips to/from parking structure. Parking is expensive ($150/month per car, no assigned parking) and forget about having guests unless you want to spend $5 per guest/day $14 overnight. Like I said, they put on a good show in the beginning, but its not worth the money, even with a good deal.
