Dr. Nishihara claims to provide ?professional, compassionate, and comprehensive care for children? and I experienced the exact opposite.\r
\r
I asked a few questions and tried to understand the treatment he was providing. He was belittling, rude, and defensive. He gives the impression that there is only one right way to treat a child and that is his one size fits all approach. You are not allowed to question or try and understand. If you do, he is belittling and condescending. I just feel sick inside even thinking about it again.\r

If his medical advice was infallible, maybe I would overlook his arrogance, but it is not. There were chemicals under the sink in one of the exam rooms without child safety locks on the doors. I was chastised about my immunization card as a legal document, but then they failed to write in the dates of the shots my child was given by their office; challenged to find any doctor who would give my child more time for a well visit. I don?t want more time; I want quality time with a physician that cares about my kids.\r

Medical school, residency, and fellowship can teach you academics but practicing medicine with the public is far more than a text book. You can?t teach compassion, caring, common decency or what it is like to be a parent concerned about the care of your children. \r
\r
If you are taking the time to research doctors to take your child to, Dr. Nishihara is NOT for you. He does not want you to question him or try to understand him; he just wants you to do what he says and not be concerned about the health care your child is receiving. Don?t waste your time or your energy with this person. \r
