Twisted Root Burger Co.

I've been reading the posts and thought I'd do a little digging myself and provide you all with my findings...The Deep Ellum location is still a Twisted Root. There was a change in management which is why some new people are there but it's still serving the same recipes, etc. I think this concept is incredible and I hear there's a new location opening up in a couple months on SMU Blvd!! more

I was so disappointed. I work near the one off of Commerce. Our entire office of 300 people go there often. Last week I decided to take a new employee there. I bragged the entire time how great the food and atmosphere is. Only once we get there, the line is out the door. That is normal, since they used to be so good. But not the over hour wait through the line. I notice some people were leaving unhappy. No menu, new staff, and everything had changed. Once we got the food, it tasted like rubber. The burger was horrible. The service was dreadful. I asked the girl at the front if they had new ownership, and she confirmed. Never will I go back there...back to Angry Dog when I want a burger. I give Twisted Root in Deep Ellum a month before they have to shut down. I wonder if the other Twisted Roots have sold out as well...what a shame. Very disappointed. more

My wife and I had gone here several times and loved it, but we went yesterday and the menu was removed from the wall, the picture of Guy Fieri was gone and the soda machine had moved. Come to find out they are under new ownership. The food was still good, but it took forever to get our food and the line wasn't that long. It was like the Twilight Zone. We walked in expecting the same employees, vibe, menu, etc., but got something different. It was a very strange feeling, like going to Burger King and there's a Big Mac on the menu. Bummer! more
